Hello, Muniche, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I notice that one of the first articles you edited appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or any other editor to proofread it. To start creating a draft article, just click your user name at the top of the screen when you are logged in, and edit that page as you would any other. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

The one firm rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. It is also worth noting that Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which specifically link them to one company or corporation. If your username does have such a name, it would be advisable for you to request a change of username.

If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! You can also just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! DoriTalkContribs 05:47, 5 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia from the Hymenoptera task force

[edit]

Hello Michael! Good to see a fellow entomologist on Wikipedia. I've been working on some of the bee-related articles, and would like to offer you and your class some resources. The Hymenoptera task force has put together a list of relevant articles by pageviews, which while not 100% pollination related, might give your students some idea of where their contributions could most benefit this encyclopedia (eg. Carpenter bee is frequently viewed, but is of a low assessed quality). There is some additional information compiled on the task force page, and there is also a talk page, which your students are free to post to to ask technical questions about how to go about doing particular things on Wikipedia or where to find resources.

I've gone ahead and created a skeleton page for Calliopsis for your course so that your students don't have to go through the wringer of new users creating new pages. Feel free to contact me here or on my talk page if you have any questions. Best of luck with your course! M. A. Broussard (talk) 01:12, 19 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Ways to improve Heriades

[edit]

Hi, I'm Nick Moyes. Muniche, thanks for creating Heriades!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. Please actually write something in this article! The genus clearly exists, but I would expect you to tell a reader what type of insect it us, or how many species it is known to contain. Please also add one or more categories to the article.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Eucera, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Carina (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 12:26, 22 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
