Now Commons
Hi. You have a bot that has a task approved to tag files with {{Nowcommons}} if a copy is available in Commons. I do not see your bot executing this task in near past. Can you please run this bot again? Thanks. --Sreejith K (talk) 12:54, 22 November 2011 (UTC)
- Sounds like a plan! Unfortunately the database based bot doesn't seem to work. I will have to use the other one. I'll get back to you on that one! multichill (talk) 20:24, 22 November 2011 (UTC)
Bot error for delisted properties sections of NRHP list-articles
Hi Multichill -- Your bot changing NRHP list-articles introduced an error in this edit, changing the displayed text from "Delisted Date" to "Listed Date", for the section of Formerly listed properties. Many NRHP list-articles have such sections. I haven't looked for other instances of your bot making this error yet, but if you are not aware of the distinction, it is an important one! And IMO your bot must be stopped until you have this fixed somehow. It's a major error, to completely change the meaning to the opposite of what was intended.
I do in general admire your effort to transform NRHP list-tables into versions that are more easily translated into other language wikipedias. I'd be willing to help somehow, if I saw how. Is this the place to discuss improvements/fixes to your Bot? --doncram 01:47, 23 November 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks for fixing this. The bot wasn't supposed to edit these sections. I added some code to skip this, but looks like it didn't work here. If the bot made any more errors it's not that hard to hunt down. Let's see if I can find it.
- The place to report errors is here or at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject National Register of Historic Places#New system for tables. Either is fine with me. multichill (talk) 21:02, 23 November 2011 (UTC)
- I see another error of the same type in this edit, which I undid. I'll post at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject National Register of Historic Places#New system for tables so that others might become aware, and watch for similar errors. Could you please follow up there? Thanks. --doncram 19:05, 27 November 2011 (UTC)
