Information icon Hello, I'm NeilN. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to List of Christian denominations seemed less than neutral to me, so I removed it for now. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. NeilN talk to me 20:42, 2 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Steve Fox Stands With Vets.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Steve Fox Stands With Vets.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. – Train2104 (t • c) 00:47, 11 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon This is your only warning; if you vandalize Wikipedia again, as you did at Template:Christianity sidebar, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. You are pushing a WP:POV on that template. If I were the only editor to revert you, we would have a problem, but there was another. There is a large block of text at the top of that template that reads:

Before changing, adding or removing any links, please read the discussion here. Consensus has determined that article links should correspond to those on the core topic list, as a centralized talk page.

If you want to change the consensus, you need to do so there, not in edit summaries on the template. Walter Görlitz (talk) 00:58, 17 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I see you tried to make this point in at least one other article, and you were reverted there as well.
If you insist on continuing without a proper discussion in a proper forum, I will request a topic ban on this subject. At least there, you will be able to support your claim that the group is not Christian. Walter Görlitz (talk) 01:16, 17 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
One final thing. The fact that I agree with your opinion that LDS are not considered a Christian denomination by the majority of Christian denominations does not change the fact that there is a consensus to include them. Your only hope is to change to change the consensus, not to edit war over it. Walter Görlitz (talk) 01:28, 17 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I dissagree, As far as I can tell the consensus is that mormonism is a parallel branch under the Adamic mythological sect and specifically not Christian. That's what the scholars say, that's what the Christians say, And that is what other Wikipediens say.

What gives you the authority to be the arbiter of truth?

Please stop vandalizing my work on Wikipedia. Msqared80 (talk) 17:47, 15 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
