Speedy deletion of "Sandy McCain Morgan"
[edit]A page you created, Sandy McCain Morgan, has been tagged for deletion, as it meets one or more of the criteria for speedy deletion; specifically, it is about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how they are important or significant, and thus why they should be included in an encyclopedia. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and the guidelines for biographies in particular.
You are welcome to contribute content which complies with our content policies and any applicable inclusion guidelines. However, please do not simply re-create the page with the same content. You may also wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.

BTW have you see the article on Obama's sister?
She's a school teacher for crying out loud.

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! I noticed that you recently added a {{hangon}} template to an article, Sandy McCain Morgan. In order for an administrator to evaluate whether the article should be speedy deleted or not, we request that you provide reasoning, on the article's talk page, for why it should remain. Thank you. -- Blanchardb -Me•MyEars•MyMouth- timed 00:12, 8 August 2008 (UTC)
- How does the fact Obama's sister is a school teacher confer any notability to Sandy McCain? -- Blanchardb -Me•MyEars•MyMouth- timed 00:19, 8 August 2008 (UTC)
At first I thought you were vandalizing these three pages, but then I saw that the Ayn Rand article had an extensive section detailing Rand's reactionary views towards homosexuals. I think that Category:Homophobia may actually be appropriate on that page. However, I am not sure it is appropriate on Bill Clinton's page, so I reverted it. I do not know enough about John McCain to say one way or another whether or not that is appropriate, but I am sure another editor will very shortly remove it or ask for clarification regarding your edit.
I think the primary difference is that Ayn Rand claimed to be a philosopher (I think many philosophers would disagree, but that is an entirely different discussion) and said what she wanted, while Bill Clinton and John McCain have to adopt positions that will get them elected. Declining to support GLBT rights doesn't necessarily make them homophobic, merely pragmatic and electable.
In the future, when adding something so potentially controversial, please use an edit summary and/or explain yourself on the talk page. -- plushpuffin (talk) 02:36, 23 August 2008 (UTC)
Blogs?
[edit]Which blogs are you objecting to on E.O. Green School shooting? AniMate 04:49, 24 August 2008 (UTC)
- I think your looking for this template: {{NPOV}}. AniMate 04:53, 24 August 2008 (UTC)
- You should air your objections on the talk page of the article. Saying something is POV isn't enough. You need to say why you think something is POV. That way differences can be worked out. AniMate 04:59, 24 August 2008 (UTC)
- Hi Mrmcuker. I don't think you should leave that article alone even if it now finally has the "neutrality of this article is disputed" tag on it. The dispute on this page concerning its biased POV is not yet resolved. Your input in helping the E. O. Green School page to achieve a NPOV is needed and appreciated. Please reconsider. Thanks! Please stop removing image
[edit]The image Image:LawrenceFobesKing.jpg is justified as an illustration of the victim in E.O. Green School shooting. The article is not a memorial. The image will be restored. Please do not remove it again. If you disagree, take it to Administrators' noticeboard to get clarification. --Moni3 (talk) 01:23, 6 September 2008 (UTC)
Your template
[edit]Hi Mrmcuker. I see that not a single editor from the discussion group has even bothered to contact you. That's rather odd, however, you need to express your opinion on the Proposal to remove the POV template. It's the same template you originally put on the top of the main article. When you have the time, please do go to the E.O. Green School shooting talk page. Simply vote to either "Keep" the POV template, or vote "Remove" to have it pulled off the main article. The majority have already expressed their opinions. Thanks. Caden S (talk) 04:36, 8 September 2008 (UTC)
- I am now contacting you to ask you to clarify why you see this article as NPOV. Much discussion has been held on the talk page. Please participate in explaining why the tag is justified or it will be removed. Furthermore, you have again removed the image of Larry King without consensus to do so, instead using the reason that the page is not a memorial. The article is clearly not a memorial, but the image illustrates one the boy who was shot. Please do not remove the image again. --Moni3 (talk) 19:41, 1 October 2008 (UTC)
AfD nomination of Legal actions filed against the McCain/Palin campaign
[edit]I have nominated Legal actions filed against the McCain/Palin campaign, an article you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Legal actions filed against the McCain/Palin campaign. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. -- Suntag (talk) 06:04, 11 September 2008 (UTC)
California Proposition 8 (2008)
[edit]Hello. Please remember the three-revert rule when editing the California Proposition 8 (2008) article. If the edit war continues, I may be forced to protect the article from editing or take other administrative action. If you have a disagreement with other editors regarding this article's content, please consider taking it to the talk page instead. Thanks, --Kralizec! (talk) 08:15, 8 November 2008 (UTC)
- In reviewing your edits to this article, it appears that you are attempting to insert non-neutral phrasing in support of your own perspective. As a relatively new editor who has only been with us for a couple of months, I would strongly encourage you to re-read Wikipedia's official policy on Neutral point of view. NPOV is an integral, non-negotiable component of Wikipedia; content changes that fail to meet our NPOV standards will most likely be reverted in short order, with repeat violators being blocked from editing. --Kralizec!
