GPS Tuner

Nobody has "demoted" the article. In fact I tagged it as I did, rather than proposing it for deletion, because I think that with a bit more work it could be quite a decent article.

If you mean, why have I tagged it as reading like an advertisement, two reasons:

• first, the use of "you", as if addressing a potential customer: the use of the second person is deprecated on Wikipedia. An example is "Monitor your (and your friends’) position...", which would be better rewritten along the lines of "the tuner enables users to monitor their position..."

• second, because the article reads like a list of specifications and options. There's nothing wrong with a list of features, but you need to wrap them up in some prose. For example, under "Functionality", you could have a sub-heading for "Units and grids" and a paragraph such as "The software supports a variety of units (metric...) and users have a choice from 24 National Grids, such as...."

It's also unclear whether you're writing about the software or the company. The article begins by stating that GPS Tuner is a company, but gives no information to suggest that the company is "notable" in Wikipedia's terms. The rest of the article lists what the software does. As an article about the software, it probably merits a place in Wikipedia; as an article about the company, it doesn't.
