Polish dialectal phonology
Hi Mr KEBAB, I've come back to ask you if you have anything concerning Polish dialectal phonology (or even related languages such as Kashubian or Silesian). If possible, could you list the attributes here, especially the ones not listed in Wikipedia? I've become obessed with your language's phonemes that I decided to dig in further! — they call me AWESOMEmeeos ... [ˈɔɪ̯]! 02:16, 22 April 2018 (UTC)
- @Awesomemeeos: It depends on whether you speak Polish. If you do, there are some sources you could read. Check Gussmann's Phonology of Polish for a start. Mr KEBAB (talk) 02:54, 22 April 2018 (UTC)
- Just like your Dutch, my Polish is crap, unfortunately. Even worse, it looks like I have to order Gussmann's book. Bugger :/ — they call me AWESOMEmeeos ... [ˈɔɪ̯]! 11:30, 22 April 2018 (UTC)
- @Awesomemeeos: In that case, I can't really help you. Sorry. Mr KEBAB (talk) 13:27, 22 April 2018 (UTC)

Books on South African English phonology
Hi, it seems that you have access to several journals/books on South African English. Is there a way I too can access them? Thanks! — oi yeah nah mate amazingJUSSO ... [ɡəˈdæɪ̯]! 08:15, 3 May 2018 (UTC)
- Tell me what exactly you'd like to read. Some of it is on Google Books, try that first. Mr KEBAB (talk) 18:18, 3 May 2018 (UTC)
- Well, the ones that you used in your sandbox — oi yeah nah mate amazingJUSSO ... [ɡəˈdæɪ̯]! 22:23, 3 May 2018 (UTC)
- @AmazingJus: Sorry for the delay. See the bottom of South African English phonology for a start. Mr KEBAB (talk) 07:54, 14 May 2018 (UTC)

Revert on Kazakh language
<quote>(rv - parts of this are definitely not correct, [ʷɜ] is not a "less rounded [œ]" but an unrounded vowel preceded by a labialized consonant)</quote>
- I can somehow read IPA. Average of all three allophones is a partially rounded one. Labial harmony is lost in Kazakh. See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KMG9Sd2reeg for how standard Kazakh is pronounced. Erkinalp9035 (talk) 15:29, 5 May 2018 (UTC)
- @Erkinalp9035: Sorry for the delayed response. I'm afraid that a Youtube clip isn't WP:RELIABLE enough to use it as a source. Mr KEBAB (talk) 18:33, 13 May 2018 (UTC)
- It is under the policy "questionable sources can be used for information about themselves". On the video I have linked, the current head of state was talking. His dialect is a high dialect (if not standard) and representative of how educated Kazakh speak as a whole. Erkinalp9035 (talk) 18:38, 13 May 2018 (UTC)
- @Erkinalp9035: It requires WP:OR to interpret the way he speaks, which is just not good enough. Mr KEBAB (talk) 18:39, 13 May 2018 (UTC)
- Then let's add this reference to the relevant Wikibook (most languages have e-books on them on Wikibooks). Erkinalp9035 (talk) 18:42, 13 May 2018 (UTC)
- @Erkinalp9035: I don't edit Wikibooks, so you need to ask someone else about that. Mr KEBAB (talk) 18:51, 13 May 2018 (UTC)
- The policy says "Faithfully translating sourced material into English, or transcribing spoken words from audio or video sources, is not considered original research." and phonemic transcription is included. Erkinalp9035 (talk) 18:59, 13 May 2018 (UTC)
- @Erkinalp9035: Where is it included? Mr KEBAB (talk) 19:02, 13 May 2018 (UTC)

New Zealand English phonology
"(rv - they mean the same, [ɛ̝] is also better because we use /ɛ/ in phonemic transcription)"
- Mean values are the same but allowable allophonic variations are different. Erkinalp9035 (talk) 18:28, 13 May 2018 (UTC)
- @Erkinalp9035: I have no idea what you mean. Mr KEBAB (talk) 18:34, 13 May 2018 (UTC)
- /ɛ/ can be fronted further (extra-front) without breaking vocalic quantity, /e/ cannot (you would touch your upper teeth). Erkinalp9035 (talk) 18:39, 13 May 2018 (UTC)
- @Erkinalp9035: I'm sorry to say but that makes zero sense to me. Not to be overly nosy, but did you really mean to put the user ipa-4 template on your user page? Mr KEBAB (talk) 18:41, 13 May 2018 (UTC)

Haringey
In case you didn't see it, my comments on the Haringey talk page today are addressed in the first place to you. HughJLF (talk) 15:58, 14 May 2018 (UTC)
- @HughJLF: Ok. You can use the ping template next time. Mr KEBAB (talk) 16:03, 14 May 2018 (UTC)
- @Mr KEBAB: Yup, just spotted that on your response. Thanks. HughJLF (talk) 16:07, 14 May 2018 (UTC)
