Thanks for uploading Image:Sh1.JPG. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Pepsidrinka 16:39, 13 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Image Tagging Image:Sh1.JPG

[edit]
Warning sign
This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Sh1.JPG. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then it needs to be specified where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, consider reading fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other media, consider checking that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Pepsidrinka 16:39, 13 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Nonsense

[edit]

Please refrain from adding nonsense to Wikipedia, as you did to Stephen Hawking. It is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Pepsidrinka 16:43, 13 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop. If you continue to vandalize pages, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Pepsidrinka 16:46, 13 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Changes to Tevez and Mascherano

[edit]

You have recently attempted to insert "humorous" images into the pages for Carlos Tevez and Javier Mascherano. Please stop. If you continue to insert images into articles with the intent to provoke, offend, or push a POV agenda, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Xobxela 15:59, 31 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Images

[edit]

The images you are uploading without providing a copyright status are most likely not usable on Wikipedia. You need to read Wikipedia:Image use policy before continuing. However, uploading an image of a player that has been "photoshopped" to "dress" him as a pimp and placing it in the article is unacceptable behavior. I'm giving you one final warning. Discontinue now or I will block you from editing. Thank you. Redux 15:55, 31 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've been through your upload log and this does not look good. You uploaded copyrighted images (one of them to the Associated Press) and placed misleading tags claiming to be the creator of the images and "releasing them into the public domain". I also found another joke with Argentine player Mascherano. All of those images have been deleted. Do not re-upload them. Equally, do not upload other copyrighted images, and certainly do not place false tags. You have been here for several months and should already know better. Because your activity level is relatively low, however, I'm giving you this fair warning instead of blocking you immediately, which our policy allows given your behavior. I urge you to take this opportunity to start contributing positively to our project. Regards, Redux 16:16, 31 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for Image:65598.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:65598.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 03:04, 2 September 2006 (UTC)

Image tagging for Image:Sfc 1156432531 gareth bale 2006 01.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Sfc 1156432531 gareth bale 2006 01.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

Template:Inter Milan Squad

[edit]

Hi I noticed you changed the colours on the header, but they now seem harder to read. Can you look at Template talk:Inter Milan Squad and leave a response there? Thanks.  sʟυмɢυм • т  c  20:27, 25 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Image:Sfc 1156432531 gareth bale 2006 01.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Sfc 1156432531 gareth bale 2006 01.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Ytny (talk) 18:09, 8 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image (Image:Wilhelmsson1.PNG)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Wilhelmsson1.PNG. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 19:05, 18 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
