A tag has been placed on Supreme Dicks, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (below the existing db tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. I fixed the minor, unintended deletion at Hampshire College. Your statements at Hampshire College[1], that "A claim has been made that the Rave was invented [at Hampshire College] during the early days of the availability of Ectasy at US Colleges" and a related, more expounded-upon statement at Rave [2] need to be verifiable, shown by reliable sources. If you can find an appropriate source, please re-add the content. Wikipedia, is not, however, the place for original research, so un-attributed claims should be removed. — Scientizzle 21:29, 13 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"this is not a subject that merits the rigorousness you suggest" Au contraire, it is exactly the type of thing that needs to be cited, for many reasons.

Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and, as such, it is intended to be a source of reliable information based upon reliable secondary sources. Wikipedia:Five pillars states "All articles must follow our no original research policy and strive for accuracy; Wikipedia is not the place to insert personal opinions, experiences, or arguments."

A flyer or personal account about the rave would be a primary source, but the subsequent interpretation (that the rave was the 1st in the USA) would be original research unless attributed to a secondary source. — Scientizzle 21:49, 13 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
