NOTE:
If you leave a question/comment here, I will respond your comments/questions here, not on your talk page. If you left a question or anything else to which you want me to respond, check back here; I don't leave {{Talkback}} alerts but I do usually reply quickly. Also, if I left a message on your page and you're coming over here to respond, I'd prefer that you respond under my point/question on your own page, please try not to leave a {{Talkback}} message for me. This way keeps the whole conversation on one section and you don't have to shuttle through two or more pages to follow the conversation chronologically. Thanks. —Mr. Matté
Troll patrol
You beat me to the punch with this edit. Other than eternal vigilance on troll patrol, do you have any suggestions for handling this editor. Some of the changes almost make sense, some are just out of consensus and some are downright bizarre, especially the habit of adding piped links for links that don't need them. That this editor has never responded to talk page messages doesn't help at all. Alansohn (talk) 17:41, 2 January 2018 (UTC)

NC Highway 160 image
Hello, I was looking at the NC Highway 160 page and the map you uploaded on the page shows a road labeled as NC Highway 18. However, it is incorrect because NC 18 doesn't run through the area shown on the map. I just thought I would let you know. mcy919 (talk) 22:33, 21 February 2018 (UTC)

Delaware Route 41 map
Just wanted to let you know the map for Delaware Route 41 needs to be updated. The southern terminus has been cut back from the DE 141 interchange to the intersection of DE 2 and DE 62; the route no longer runs concurrent with DE 2. Dough4872 14:10, 21 March 2018 (UTC)
Your South Carolina Highways
Hi, you are uploading a lot of fine images; thank you, you provide Wikipedia with good maps. You also providing me with some work, because your descriptions about the tools (e.g. QGIS) are rather poor, and it needed my updating. May be you don't care about proper descriptions, then me and others will tidy up about your work. If you care but don't know how to do, me and others will give you all hints you need (I know, it is complicated to use the tags). Btw, it would be nice if you create W3C-valid SVG files - but that is sure a fault of the tools you are using, and it's better to have good maps than none, whether they are W3-valid or not. Good further success! sarang♥사랑 16:51, 9 June 2018 (UTC)
- I'm not sure how the files are "invalid," I open them up, everything displays OK in both the raw .svg and the rendered .png versions. I use the Inkscape and QGIS tags to give a plug as to how I created the files. It's a moot point anyway since the USRD's procedure now is to utilize interactive maps so the "hardcopy" maps are now being depreciated and I am no longer making highway maps for articles. —Mr. Matté (Talk/Contrib) 13:08, 10 June 2018 (UTC)

Spliting discussion for North Carolina Highway 147
An article that you have been involved with (North Carolina Highway 147) has content that is proposed to be removed and move to another article (Interstate 885). If you are interested, please visit the discussion at the talk page. Thank you. Roadsguy (talk) 02:12, 15 December 2018 (UTC)
Map for U.S. Route 16 in South Dakota
Hi, I was wondering if you could make a map for the U.S. Route 16 in South Dakota page. Since part of the routing was removed from the US Highway System, maybe you could add a faded line for the former routing as well, but if that isn't possible, you don't have to add it in. Xninetynine (talk) 03:38, 22 January 2019 (UTC)X99
- Unfortunately I cannot at this time. My ability use of Google Earth (to create/edit the KML file which will ultimately build the interactive map) is limited due to it not working on my old computer at home and my limited time to use it elsewhere. I recommend asking at Wikipedia:WikiProject U.S. Roads/Maps task force/Requests. —Mr. Matté (Talk/Contrib) 12:19, 22 January 2019 (UTC)
PA 332 map error
I noticed an error in the map for Pennsylvania Route 332. The route follows Montgomery Avenue between PA 263 (York Road) and Jacksonville Road, not Moreland Avenue. Dough4872 01:27, 16 February 2019 (UTC)
- Error acknowledged but I can't fix until Monday due to reasons explained in above post (lack of Google Earth). —Mr. Matté (Talk/Contrib) 02:27, 16 February 2019 (UTC)
- Also when you get a chance, Pennsylvania Route 513 has a map error too. The northern terminus is not at US 1 Business (Lincoln Highway) but a block further north at PA 413 (Durham Road). Dough4872 03:28, 16 February 2019 (UTC)
- Done, both fixed. —Mr. Matté (Talk/Contrib) 16:07, 18 February 2019 (UTC)

Delaware Route 6 map error
I noticed an error in the map for Delaware Route 6. The route follows DE 300 (Glenwood Avenue) and US 13 (Dupont Boulevard) through Smyrna and not Smyrna Clayton Boulevard and Commerce Street further south. Dough4872 00:37, 19 May 2019 (UTC)
- Is the KML file (one of the few not created by me many many years ago) correct? If so, an interactive map should be created from that. If not, I'd have to wait until Monday to do so. —Mr. Matté (Talk/Contrib) 03:29, 19 May 2019 (UTC)
- It appears the KML file is incorrect and has the route following Smyrna Clayton Boulevard and Commerce Street rather than Glenwood Avenue and Dupont Boulevard like it should. Dough4872 03:44, 19 May 2019 (UTC)

K-19 (Kansas highway)
Are you still making maps? If so and you're not busy can you possibly make one for K-19 (Kansas highway)?, as i am trying to get it to good article status. Thanks 420Traveler (talk) 21:36, 8 August 2019 (UTC)
- I generally don't make the "hardcopy" .svg maps anymore as WP:USRD seems to be switching to the "interactive map" standard for all articles. If you have a KML file already made, it's easy to convert the coordinates in there to the Wikipedia map linework format and if there's no tutorial in WP:USRD/MTF, I can certainly help you create one. If you don't, I would only be able to create the KML and map during my work lunch break as Google Earth doesn't work on my home computer. —Mr. Matté (Talk/Contrib) 12:25, 9 August 2019 (UTC)
- KML and interactive map completed for K-19. —Mr. Matté (Talk/Contrib) 21:25, 9 August 2019 (UTC)
Thank you so much for making that. I would like to learn how to create kml files do you have any advice on how to learn? Thanks 420Traveler (talk) 00:50, 12 August 2019 (UTC)
- Check out Wikipedia:WikiProject U.S. Roads/Maps task force/Tutorial#Creating a KML file, this assumes you have or can easily download Google Earth. —Mr. Matté (Talk/Contrib) 20:31, 12 August 2019 (UTC)
Ok thanks for that info, I will be able to download it in the future but I've been using a tablet to edit recently, because of a computer problem, so I can't download it right now. Until I am able to download it, if you dont mind making a map for a few other articles I was working on it would be great? Thanks 420Traveler (talk) 18:50, 14 August 2019 (UTC)
- If you want multiple maps, may I suggest placing a request in Wikipedia:WikiProject U.S. Roads/Maps task force/Requests? That way maybe someone else could work on if I'm not available. —Mr. Matté (Talk/Contrib) 01:17, 15 August 2019 (UTC)
