I hope you like this place — I sure do — and want to stay. Before getting too in-depth, you may want to read about the Five pillars of Wikipedia and simplified ruleset. If you need help on how to title new articles check out the naming conventions, and for help on formatting the pages visit the manual of style. If you need help look at Wikipedia:Help and the FAQ , plus if you can't find your answer there, check the Village Pump (for Wikipedia related questions) or the Reference Desk (for general questions)! There's still more help at the Tutorial and Policy Library. Plus, don't forget to visit the Community Portal. And if you have any more questions after that, feel free to post them on my user talk page or place {{helpme}}
on your talk page and someone will be by to help you shortly.
Additional tips
[edit]Here's some extra tips to help you get around in the 'pedia!
- If you want to play around with your new Wiki skills the Sandbox is for you.
- You can sign your name using three tildes (~). If you use four, you can add a datestamp too. Five will get you the datestamp only.
- You may want to add yourself to the new user log.
- If you ever think a page or image should be deleted, please list it at the votes for deletion page. There is also a votes for undeletion page if you want to retrieve something that you think should not have been deleted.
- If you're still entirely confused, or would like to get a better grasp of your wikipedia skills, and you have an IRC client (or don't mind getting one), check out the Bootcamp. It's not what it sounds like, but it is fun and can help you with your editing skills.
- If you're bored and want to find something to do, try the Random page button in the sidebar, or check out the Open Task message in the Community Portal.
Happy Wiki-ing. —Kf4bdy talk contribs
PS: This is not a bot and you did nothing to prompt this message. This is just a friendly welcome by a fellow Wikipedian.
I want to know how to create a sub-userpage for a WikiProject on South Park I want to make. Thanks,
Mr. Garrison 16:20, 19 August 2006 (UTC)
"That's right Mr. Hat."
- To make a subpage, make a link from the main (root) page that looks like this [[/Subpagename]] and follow it to make the page the same way you would make a normal page. —Daniel (‽) 16:25, 19 August 2006 (UTC)
Wikiproject helpme
[edit]{Help Me} Nobody has joined up yet, how do I create awareness of the project?
- Wikipedia:WikiProject explains what to do. You list your new project on Wikipedia:WikiProject/List_of_proposed_projects and see if there are enough people to join to make it work. Also maybe mntion your idea at Talk:South Park or something.--Commander Keane 16:58, 19 August 2006 (UTC)
Re: South Park WProject
[edit]Cool, thanks. However, fair use images aren't allowed in userspace, so the picture should probably be changed. -→Buchanan-Hermit™/?! 17:46, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
Re: South Park project
[edit]Thanks for the invite but I'm not sure that I would be able to contribute much. - Abscissa 20:13, 30 September 2006 (UTC)
- Sure then, if you set it up, I'll join, but I really can't promise that I can help out in any major way. - Abscissa 11:25, 1 October 2006 (UTC)
- Seeing as it is one of the funniest comedies in modern history, count me in Cs-wolves 11:25, 1 October 2006 (UTC)
- Cheers for that. Will add right now =) Cs-wolves 18:05, 2 October 2006 (UTC)
Re: South Park project
[edit]Thanks for the invite but unfortunaly I don't have much spare time at the moment (I'm starting a new job:). If I catch some time, I'll help Ceha 17:36, 1 October 2006 (UTC)
Re: South Park Wikiproject
[edit]Sounds like a good idea to me. I'd be glad to join, and I need more edits before I can apply for administratorship, so I'm in. --BLuToRsE 16:45, 1 October 2006 (UTC)
Re: South Park Wikiproject
[edit]I will help out. Though my knowledge of season 6 and 8 is not very good. Captaincookie

Wikiproject South Park
[edit]I don't really have the time right now to devote myself to any Wikiprojects, and to be honest I am losing my Wikipedia enthusiasm. So I can't say that I'm ever going to be joining a project, even after the semester's over. Sorry. -Branddobbe 21:24, 1 October 2006 (UTC)
South Park Wikiproject
[edit]I wouldn't mind helping, but I'm afraid my series knowledge is limited to up to series 6. I don't have Sky TV that gets South Park, and I wish the later series DVD's would be released here in the UK. However, I'm willing to help in any way you think I can. [edit]I'm always in favor of cleaning up poorly written articles and especially making them consistent across a related topic. Now that the minor-league baseball season is over, I've kinda been looking for something to do. Let me know. -- dakern74 (talk) 02:36, 3 October 2006 (UTC)

Protecting the south park episode
[edit]I don`t think that would be nessasery for now. We can always revert non-constructive edits. -- Selmo (talk) 23:36, 3 October 2006 (UTC) ---- Selmo (talk) 23:38, 3 October 2006 (UTC)
- One more quick thought: some folks may dislike advertising your WikiProject on their talk page. It may be a better ideas to simply advertise on the articles' talk pages.-- Selmo (talk) 00:00, 4 October 2006 (UTC)
South Park WikiProject discussion
[edit]I figured it was best to discuss any proposed tasks on the project's talk page. We can propose new ones there. Once the project's members on agree on doing something, we can add that to the "Open task" list. -- Selmo (talk) 21:50, 6 October 2006 (UTC)

South Park Project
[edit]Yes I'd like to help. I'm not that huge an expert on the show but I'll help out where I can.
Help me
[edit]How comes my image isn't loading up on the Ms. Veronica Crabtree page (South Park character)? I've put it on like I always do but it isn't working.
- There was a second image= parameter which told the template that there was no image. Fixed now :) -- zzuuzz (talk) 20:11, 30 October 2006 (UTC)
Re: South Park famlies
[edit]Well, I'll see what I can do. -- Selmo (talk) 01:11, 12 November 2006 (UTC)
Season 9
[edit]I've just tried to convert season 9 into the model design of episode boxes like on seasons 1, 2 & 10 on List of South Park episodes. It seems to have gone wrong and a huge yellow outline has appeared.
Mr. Garrison •my userpage• my talk• my contributions•
- Sorted what you had was like:
<start table 1>
- <episode 1>
- <start table 2>
- <episode 2>
- <start table 3>
- <episode 3>
- <start table 3>
- <episode 2>
- <start table 2>
.
.
.
- <start table x>
- <episode x>
- <end table x>
- <start table x>
So you had each of them nested within further tables and because you didn't end all the tables, the content following was also contained with the table x-1. What I've done is change it to:
<start table 1>
- <episode 1>
- <episode 2>
- <episode 3>
.
.
.
- <episode x>
<end table 1>

Image:"episode one".jpg listed for deletion
[edit]An image or media file that you uploaded or altered, Image:"episode one".jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Please look there to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in its not being deleted. Thank you. ——Scott5114↗ 19:26, 18 November 2006 (UTC)
I read the message you left on my talk page and I have removed the deletion tag as I objected to the proposed deletion. I left in the edit summary that I objected to the proposal as the portal can become useful eventually and the portal is still under construction. Atomic1609 20:51, 18 November 2006 (UTC)
Thank you for your question. For what to put in the topics section, see Wikipedia:Portal/Guidelines. There, it defines 'Topics' as "Links to the most important articles related to the topic." For Portal:South Park, this would mean links to the most important articles about South Park. Atomic1609 17:50, 19 November 2006 (UTC)
Howdy, I'm afraid Portal:List is only for portals that are completed. Once you have finished construction, you're welcome to add it back. Thanks :) --Quiddity 22:00, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
Wikiproject
[edit]Yeah sure Id like to join. Unfortuneately I don't have much time to spend here with school and everything, but I will help out as best I can. Bok269 01:33, 21 November 2006 (UTC)
New images
[edit]Can you please explain your recent replacing of older episode screenshots with newer ones and removal of caption? Some of the images you replaced, such as the one on Make Love, Not Warcraft, previously had a fair use rationale. Michaelas10 (Talk) 12:30, 25 November 2006 (UTC)
- I see.. although you could add rationales to the new images, and explain their source more specifically. Also, please sign your post using ~~~~. Michaelas10 (Talk) 12:45, 25 November 2006 (UTC)
TfD nomination of Template:Mrgarrison
[edit]Template:Mrgarrison has been nominated for deletion. You are invited to comment on the discussion at the template's entry on the Templates for Deletion page. Thank you. --Michaelas10 (Talk) 12:53, 25 November 2006 (UTC)
Edit summary
[edit]I have noted that you often edit without an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This is considered an important guideline in Wikipedia. Even a short summary is better than no summary. An edit summary is even more important if you delete any text; otherwise, people may think you're being sneaky. Also, mentioning one change but not another one can be misleading to someone who finds the other one more important; add "and misc." to cover the other change(s). Thanks! -- Selmo (talk) 05:17, 26 November 2006 (UTC)
Orphaned fair use image (Image:Keithlemon.jpg)
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Keithlemon.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Fritz S. (Talk) 12:12, 26 November 2006 (UTC)
