Hi. When you recently edited List of Newcastle University people, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Deborah Cameron (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Farewell

I am Russian and me jarred word "kill". Having association with "murder", "killer". But if this acceptable than ok. 178.76.217.218 (talk) 00:16, 6 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

To say that someone was killed in a car crash in no way implies murder. They can be killed, die or lose their life. Mowerbyte (talk) 06:32, 6 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

User location

[edit]

Is there a way to edit user locations so that the badge states the opposite, i.e. "User comes from London" and "User lives in Berlin"?

You can copy each code from the template page and edit it for your own liking.

{{userbox
| border-c = black
| id       = {}
| id-c     = {}
| id-fc    = {black}
| id-s     = {{{5|{14}}}}
| info     = {}
| info-c   = {}
| info-fc  = {black}
| usercategory = Wikipedians in Berlin
| nocat = {}
}}}

or Use User Berlin res

{{userbox
| border-c = black
| border-s = 1
| id       =
| id-c     = white
| info = This user is from London.
| info-c   = lightskyblue
| info-fc  = {darkblue}
| info-s   = {8}
| usercategory = Wikipedians in London
| usercategory2  = Wikipedians in England
| usercategory3 = Wikipedians in the United Kingdom
| usercategory4  = Wikipedians_in_the_European_Union
| usercategory5 = Wikipedians in Europe
| nocat = {}
}}

There is no London alternative that I can see at this point, I hope this helps.- McMatter (talk)/(contrib) 22:48, 27 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

That's sorted - thank you! (Mowerbyte (talk) 05:25, 9 October 2015 (UTC))[reply]

Help me!

[edit]

Please help me with transferring the box "User from London" to the Babel & Boxes" table on the right hand side - can't seem to get this to work!

Mowerbyte (talk) 08:50, 27 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I have done this for you. If you don't mind, I'm copying that into Template:User from London and sticking it on my own userpage since I'm also from London. (North Cheam, specifically.)--Launchballer 10:35, 27 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Many thanks for doing this! Mowerbyte (talk) 07:54, 28 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited List of film schools, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Polytechnic. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Shakespeare prize

[edit]

I've reverted your addition to Ralph Vaughan Williams because you cite no WP:RS for your additions, rendering them falsely attributed to Grove. If you can find a reliable source to override Grove, by all means reinstate, using the existing citation format (no WP:CITEVAR violations, please).
