Assessment of Article Draft

[edit]

Major revisions necessary

You're off to a good start, but before you move your material to mainspace, it is essential that you:

  • Expand the prose to 500 words (you currently have under 250)
  • Break up your prose into sections (with the first section identifying who the subject of the page is). For ideas on what kind of sections to include you can look up another director's wikipedia page, but it should be dictated by what kind of content you're including.
  • Proofread your prose for grammar.
  • It's not clear what your sources at the bottom are referring to, since the four footnotes you've identified are dumped at the bottom of the prose. You need to fix this, and, I would suggest, find a few more independent sources. The IMDB is not a great source, nor is the director's own production company. In fact, you should not cite either of these at all, especially her website, but instead list these as an external sources. If you cannot verify the information through some external secondary source, you have to delete it.
  • For the awards, you need to fact-check these by going to the official websites of the film festivals and/or awards in question.
  • Fix your citations (the Chicago Tribune and Filmmaker Magazine entries are missing dates of publication).
