License tagging for Image:Yakovlev Yak-52-dual.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Yakovlev Yak-52-dual.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 20:08, 14 June 2007 (UTC)

Nice photo's

[edit]

Very nice photo's you took of the Russian Knights. However I have one request. Could you upload the pictures on Wikimedia Commons instead. Then they are also usable on other language projects. - Dammit 20:09, 14 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Rafale Photo

[edit]

Hi there. I just though you'd like to know that your photo Dassault Rafale B.jpg has appeared in print! It is on page 9 of the February 2008 edition of the Indonesian magazine Angkasa ("Sky") and is credited to "Dmottl/wikipedia.org". Congratulations, and nice picture. Regards Davidelit (talk) 14:53, 12 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! I hope you don't mind, but I moved your picture peer review nomination to Wikipedia:Picture peer review/Su-27 on landing as described in the instructions at the picture peer review page. I think you still need to do "Step 3" on that page, adding the nomination to the main page, which you can do here. --Kateshortforbob 14:31, 23 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you very much for your comment regarding one of my pictures. Though the result is hundred percent oppose, I learned many issues related to photography from your and others comments. Since I am a novice in the filed of photography, I am still in my learning phase and would like to receive tips from you. I hope you won't mind if I request you in future to guide me through your comments regarding my pictures. Cheers. -- Niaz(Talk • Contribs) 14:14, 4 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Image:Rafalefamily.jpg, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Image:Rafalefamily.jpg is an image page for a missing or corrupt image or an empty image description page for a Commons-hosted image.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Image:Rafalefamily.jpg, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Hi Dmitry,

Just to let you know that the Featured Picture Image:Su-27 on landing.jpg is due to make an appearance as Picture of the Day on October 15, 2008. If you get a chance, you can check and improve the caption at Template:POTD/2008-10-15. howcheng {chat} 22:14, 10 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Aix (операционная система), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A2 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a foreign language article that was copied and pasted from another Wikimedia project, or was transwikied out to another project. Please see Wikipedia:Translation to learn about requests for, and coordination of, translations from foreign-language Wikipedias into English.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Dawa Yangzum Sherpa place of birth

[edit]

Can you remember the source of the place of birth (Nāngaon) of Dawa Yangzum Sherpa that you entered in 2019? This name only seems to occur on Wikipedia. It may be a misspelling for Nā gaun (gaun simply means village), Na is situated here. This source mentions that she was born there, but the article is from 2021, so it's possible that it used the WP article as a source. --Kuhni74 (talk) 00:00, 10 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I took it from the direct conversation with Dawa.
Seems you can change it simply to Nā, since Nāgaun is renamed to Nā in Openstreetmap. Dmitry A. Mottl (talk) 05:19, 10 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Do you mean that you met her in person and entered this piece of information here? Are you aware that no original research should be done here? Every piece of information has to be sourced with external published evidence. This is even more important when writing biographies of living persons. --Kuhni74 (talk) 09:18, 10 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
My bad! Next time I will ask her for a birth certificate :-))) Dmitry A. Mottl (talk) 18:34, 10 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I did not make the WP rules. And also a birth certificate is not a publication. --Kuhni74 (talk) 20:31, 10 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
This map uses the spelling Nāngāon. --Kuhni74 (talk) 21:42, 10 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Then it should be Nāngāon. Revert my commit back please. Dmitry A. Mottl (talk) 05:19, 12 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
