The Wikipedia community has permitted administrators to impose discretionary sanctions on any editor who is active on any page about social groups, explicitly including caste associations and political parties, related to India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal. Discretionary sanctions can be used against an editor who repeatedly or seriously fails to adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, any expected standards of behavior, or any normal editorial process. If you engage in inappropriate behavior in this area, you may be placed under sanctions, which can include blocks, a revert limitation, or a topic ban. The discussion leading to the imposition of these sanctions can be read here.

Please familiarise yourself with the information page at Wikipedia:General sanctions/South Asian social groups.

Information icon Hello, I'm Ekdalian. You have been adding or changing content in an article, Debnath, but you didn't provide a reliable source. Website used as a reference for surname is not considered as a reliable source. Moreover, I have clearly mentioned in the edit summary that this is not an article on 'Yogi Nath'. If you want to create / improve an article on Yogi Nath citing reliable sources, you can; you may add a wikilink in this article. You can discuss on the article's talk page for such improvements. Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia. You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Thank you. Ekdalian (talk) 10:29, 8 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Stop now

[edit]

Please stop edit warring at Debnath to insert a copyright violation from this site or you will be blocked. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. Bishonen | tålk 12:55, 8 May 2020 (UTC).[reply]

I'll echo this concern. I have applied Revision deletion to your attempts to include copyrighted text into the article. As noted above, Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously, as does not permit copyrighted text in articles, or even in their history, so we not only remove it from the current version of the article, we remove it from the history.
If you happen to be the author or the text, let us know, and we can explain next steps, but simply reinserting is NOT the right approach, and may lead to a block.S Philbrick(Talk) 13:05, 8 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you remove maintenance templates from Wikipedia articles without resolving the problem that the template refers to, as you did at National Law Institute University.
