What happened was that you showed up and immediately editing a page most new users don't know about, with the aim of getting yourself onto an elected committee most new users don't know about. This sets off a lot of alarm bells with the community, and then you made some questionable edits (again, ones that show familiarity with Wikipedia), as if you were in a rush to get started. So people think that you are a sockpuppet of some previous user, probably a blocked one, and up to no good. If you have a response, explain yourself in a new unblock request. Request reason:

Ok this is what happened. A class in school is doing a project to compare the upcoming US elections to various election processes on internet communities, the Arbitration Commission on Wikipedia being one of them. Me and my friends decided to contribute to this school project by running for ARBCOM. My friend Chucka was pretty familiar with Wikipedia and bet me that I couldn't get ready for ARBCOM in just two months until the election starts. So this sounded like a pretty tall order for an Ohio Boy so I decided to recruit some help on Wikipedia for my run. Then my friend Ridge said a good way to get your edits in is to "tag" unsourced articles. And that's what happened. Sorry for the misunderstanding. Happy Hall-O-Ween! Decline reason:

Email ArbCom to request an unblock. Checkuser confirms you're a repeat sockpuppeteer. — Hersfold (t/a/c) 00:06, 1 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
