Infoboxes
[edit]Hi there - there is no need to specify which league a club played in in the infobox. Regards, GiantSnowman 15:34, 18 June 2012 (UTC)
football articles.
[edit]I've noticed some errors in your football articles.
- The punctuation goes before the <ref> tag.
- Dates in Persondata is 3 March 1910 and not [[1910|03|03]].

Apologies for not getting back to you earlier. Unfortunately, I don't have access to the reference you have given, however you have Jones playing for the club in the Football League. As Loughborough F.C. is the only Loughborough club to play in the League I can only assume that is the correct club. achangeisasgoodasa (talk) 11:19, 8 July 2012 (UTC)
This is an automated message from MadmanBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Danny Boxshall, and it appears to be a substantial copy of http://www.neilbrown.newcastlefans.com/player1/dannyboxshall.htm.
It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

I am not aware of the above quoted www.neil brown etc. The details are from the noted referenced sources of a football programme and a book although I have not seen the originals but found quotes from both on the internet. I have not copied the full quotes but amended them to fit into the flow of the article that I was constructing. Moorehulbert (talk) 19:01, 20 July 2012 (UTC)
Thanks for the information you have added to the article, but I think you added a bit too much detail with all the transfer moves/fees, and I have deleted this for some of the entries. If you look at other clubs' player list articles you will see this info is not normally recorded. The notes column is more for details on managers, player records etc. Regards. Cjmoss (talk) 16:51, 3 November 2012 (UTC)== Arthur Moss ==
I have added some detail and corrections to the stub on Arthur Moss (he was my grandfather and I know my details are correct!) He didn't die in 1930, or else I shouldn't be here to correct it!

[edit]Please do not add or change content, as you did to George Toone, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. GiantSnowman 17:16, 23 January 2015 (UTC) I have added reference now.(Moorehulbert (talk) 17:51, 23 January 2015 (UTC))
- Firstly, your reference(s) are incomplete - what is the page number? Secondly, you are adding information that does not seem supported by what you have added, such as information about league positions and also Cup appearances etc. Furthermore you also seem to be engaging in original research - who says he was "ever present" or "the regular goalkeeper"? We do not need a basic season-by season 'he played X games in this season, he played X games in that season' type of commentary. GiantSnowman 10:56, 24 January 2015 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for February 3
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited William Fulton (footballer), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Alva. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
