User talk:Monoblonde
Welcome!
[edit]Hi there! Welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like it here and stick around.
Here are a few handy tips for newcomers:
- A few basic rules: Try to write from a neutral point of view, be bold in editing pages, and use Wikiquette.
- A good intro page is the welcome page. The Wikipedia tutorial also gives a lot of basic info that will help get you oriented on Wikipedia. If you have any other questions about the project then check out Wikipedia:Help or Wikipedia:Where to ask a question.
- When you post something on a talk/discussion page, you can sign your name by using three tildes (" ~~~ ") for your username and four (" ~~~~ ") for your username and a timestamp.
- Remember to provide an edit summary when editing.
- If you ever find yourself with nothing to do on Wikipedia, have a look at the Community Portal, you'll find that there's always something happening.
If you ever have any questions, comments, or just want to say hi, don't hesitate to write to me on my talk page and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.
Happy editing and have a great day! :-) Akamad 10:20, 7 March 2006 (UTC)
- Hi. Those boxes you describes are called userboxes. Have a look at the Wikipedia:Userboxes page, it lists all the different types of userboxes you can have, and how to craete your own. It also shows you one method of displaying them on your userpage. I'm suprised you don't have a tilde key (wavy line symbol) on your keyboard. This image shows you where it is on most keyboards: http://healthlinks.washington.edu/howto/navigating/tilde.gif. If you have anymore questions, you know where to find me. - Akamad 23:22, 8 March 2006 (UTC)

Brian Jonestown Massacre
[edit]FYI, I undid your linking of Anton Newcombe, since that link just redirects to Brian Jonestown Massacre. We probably should have an article on Newcombe himself, if we can find any reliable sources on him. Since he and BJM are so closely associated, I'm not sure what we could say about him that wasn't about BJM. Anyway, I know you were being helpful that's why I wanted to explain. your userboxes
[edit]You should subst your userboxes before rouge admins delete them. That's what I do when I add userboxes to my user page. All in 18:16, 15 May 2006 (UTC)
