Hi there; this article is in fact semi-protected, which means only that editors with very new accounts (<4days) cannot edit it. Wait a short time, and you will find that you can. This article is one of a small number of sensitive articles, so please be careful as to what you add to it. A number of us guard it as a lioness guards her young!--Anthony.bradbury 17:37, 13 May 2007 (UTC)
- No problem. I tend to feel that anyone who has been to Auschwitz, as I have, must either feel the effect or else have the empathy of a turtle. I was not trying to put you off; it is just that this article is one of the most heavily vandalised pages in wikipedia, hence the permanent semi-protect. I get the impression that you were affected on your visit in what I would call the right way. Go ahead and edit the article - it is only fair to say that your changes will ring immediate bells on my and many other users' screens; but if the edits are sensible, good and encyclopedic, as I feel from this converation they will be, then that's fine. Go to it.Happy wikying. --Anthony.bradbury 22:05, 13 May 2007 (UTC)
Hi, I undid your edit and then realized that you had nominated it for deletion yourself. The way I understand it, once it is put up for AfD, it has to run its full course, ie, someone has to close it and then, the tag on the article can be removed. Please let me know if I am wrong. Thanks. - TwoOars (T | C) 18:24, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
- I am not that familiar with the AfD process either. Maybe you can ask someone who knows, like an admin. Apart from that, keep up the good work. :) - TwoOars (T | C) 18:36, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
Did you mean the edits to Battle of Dunkirk by 207.144.223.66? The rules are the same for IPs and registered users as far as the warning messages and reporting at WP:AIV are concerned. Usually IPs are blocked for a shorter duration because they might be used by a lot of users. - TwoOars (T | C) 20:10, 14 May 2007 (UTC) And another thing, please check the history page of Battle of Dunkirk. When there are multiple consecutive instances of vandalism, you have to save the last good version of the page (in this case, the first revert you did to the page); do not just undo the previous edit. Hope thats not too confusing.. Do ask me if there s anything else. - TwoOars (T | C) 20:14, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
You either tagged this with something like TWINKLE or at the same moment as I was deleting it, which is why it looks like you created the article. Don't worry, you're not a vandal for doing this. You don't have to reply to this message, either. Regards, (aeropagitica) 21:52, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
Hello. I am sorry you thought my edit to the latter article linking to the former was vandalism. Did it really look like vandalism? It was not; it was a standard disambiguation, which I put in place due to the similarity of their names, and because I got the latter first in a web search when I was searching for the former. I have now put disambiguations at the top of each to the other. I have edited a great deal here. 195.137.30.238 10:45, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
- All I deleted was 'Note: Richmond upon Thames is also know as Richmond, Surrey' which is irrelevant to the article. That kind of information belongs in the Richmond article. I can't see why you thought there was vandalism. 195.137.30.238 10:50, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
WikiProject Harry Potter roll-call
[edit]{{User WP Harry Potter}}
to your userpage, if you haven't done so already. Conversely, if you do not wish to be considered a member of the WikiProject, leave your name where it is and it will be moved to the Inactive Contributors section. If you wish to make a clean break with the Project you may move your name to the Known to have left section. Many thanks.New deal for page patrollers
[edit]Hi Monkeymox,
In order to better control the quality of new pages, keep out the spam, and welcome the genuine newbies, the current system we introduced in 2011 is being updated and improved. The documentation and tutorials have also been revised and given a facelift. Most importantly a new user group New Page Reviewer has been created.
Under the new rule, you may find that you are temporarily unable to mark new pages as reviewed. However, this is nothing to worry about - most current experienced patrollers are being accorded the the new right without the need to apply, and if you have significant previous experience of patrolling new pages, we strongly encourage you to apply for the new right as soon as possible - we need all the help we can get, and we are now providing a dynamic, supportive environment for your work.
Find out more about this exiting new user right now at New Page Reviewers and be sure to read the new tutorial before applying. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 04:29, 13 November 2016 (UTC)

Further, there are more than 20 proposals related to Watchlists in general that you may be interested in reviewing. (and over 260 proposals in all, across many aspects of wikis)
Thank you for your consideration. Please note that voting for proposals continues through December 12, 2016.

The article Duchy of Olasko has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Fails GNG
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. TTN (talk) 04:36, 2 December 2019 (UTC)
