This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Stanbridge college, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www1.stanbridge.edu/s1/show/?cid=766. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. Proposed deletion of Stanbridge college

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Stanbridge college, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

reason copy and paste form another site and lack of notability

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Speedy deletion of Stanbridge college

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Stanbridge college requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. §FreeRangeFrog 02:21, 21 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, User:Monirb/sandbox

[edit]

Hello, Monirb. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "sandbox".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Cabayi (talk) 09:25, 4 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Diannaa (talk Can you please specify which section is violating copyright policies? I am a staff member of the Stanbridge University Media and Communications Department and I need to update our information. Most of this content would be taken from our website or other materials. Please let me know how I can address this immediately.

If you copied and pasted the content I have no doubt you know which bits violated copyright; if you work in that department you should know copyright rules (in fact, you should have known better already). Copyrighted content can be "donated", that is licensed for use, and you can inquire how to do that by perusing Wikipedia:Volunteer Response Team. But there is another thing you need to do, and I wouldn't consider unblocking until it's taken care of, and that is that you need to declare your conflict of interest: see WP:COIDECLARE. Thank you, Drmies (talk) 00:45, 17 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

procedural note, Drmies probbably meant to link to WP:DISCLOSE. Victor Schmidt (talk) 06:30, 17 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The problem is that you have repeatedly copy-pasted copyright material from the school's website for the last four years, and even once back in 2015. You cannot post copyright material on Wikipedia even if you are the copyright holder or have the copyright holder's permission, unless special licensing permissions are in place. That is because Wikipedia aims to be freely distributable and copyable by anyone, and all content must have the appropriate documentation in place before that can happen. Please see Wikipedia:donating copyrighted materials which explains how it works. Regardless of the copyright issue, material copied from an organization's website is seldom suitable for Wikipedia, because we are an encyclopedia, not a medium to advertise.

The second problem is conflict of interest. Writing an article about your own organisation or that of a client is strongly discouraged, as it is difficult to maintain the required neutral point of view. — Diannaa (talk) 11:34, 17 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
