User talk:Monica Hernandez Rada
November 2018
[edit]Hello, Monica Hernandez Rada, and welcome to contributing to Wikipedia. There are, however, a few issues regarding your editing which you need to be aware of.
- Firstly, and most importantly, content you have posted has infringed copyright. For example, there was an extensive quote from the publication "The Early Years", which is published under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 3.0 IGO License, which is not compatible with Wikipedia's licensing terms, as for everything you post to Wikipedia you give permission for use for all purposes, including commercial, and also for publications of derivatives and modified versions, edited and changed in any way whatever. Likewise you gave a substantial extract from "Recaudar no basta", for which the copyright notice says "© Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo, 2012. Todos los derechos reservados. Esta publicación no puede ser reproducida, ni en todo ni en parte, ni utilizarse de ninguna manera ni por ningún medio, sea electrónico o mecánico, incluidos los procesos de fotocopiado o grabado, ni por ningún sistema de almacenamiento o recuperación de información, sin permiso previo por escrito del BID." Similar conisderations seem to apply to other excerpts that you posted. It is possible that you do have authorisation to publish the contents under a broader license than specified in the documents themselves, but we cannot assume so without proof.
- Secondly, the page you created was substantially promotional, both in the sense that it sought to present the point of view of the organisation it was about, and in the sense that it evidently aimed to attract readers to the web site of the organisation to read its publications. Editing for the purpose of promotioning, advertising, or publicising anything is not permitted by Wikipedia policy.
- Thirdly, it is evident that you have a close personal involvement in the subject you have written about, which means that you need to be aware of Wikipedia's guidelines on conflict of interest and the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use regarding paid editing. Below I am posting a standard message which outlines the principal points, and also gives links to the pages which give the full details.
Because of the copyright problem, the page you created will be deleted: Wikipedia policy does not permit copyright infringing material to remain on any page. The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 13:43, 6 November 2018 (UTC)
Hello, Monica Hernandez Rada. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).
Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. --
