Caa

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Caa, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the article and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Please consider putting this on Wiktionary if this definition is verifiable and no further information can be provided. Phatom87 18:02, 30 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for Image:B Train 2.png

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:B Train 2.png. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

1967-1979 bullets

[edit]

They look great. However, you should upload them to Wikimedia Commons, where they can be used on all other projects, as they are free use logos. Again, great job. I too will be working on these with my new Adobe software, and I will try making new ones and uploading them for you, if you'd like. Again, keep up the good work. --Imdanumber1 (talk contribs) 01:26, 20 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Notability of DJ Will

[edit]

A tag has been placed on DJ Will, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. tomasz. 22:49, 8 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Why did you change the dates of the newspaper articles, and the information that comes from them? --NE2 13:37, 14 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop. The dates you are changing to are wrong; the ones that are currently in the article come from contemporary New York Times articles. --NE2 04:05, 16 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
You're talking about nycsubway.org? They got the opening dates wrong. --NE2 14:42, 17 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Little context in Caa

[edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Caa, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. A tag has been placed on Image:1 Train (1967-1979).png requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I8 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is available as a bit-for-bit identical copy on the Wikimedia Commons under the same name, or all references to the image on Wikipedia have been updated to point to the title used at Commons.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on [[ Talk:Image:1 Train (1967-1979).png|the talk page]] explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Sdrtirs (talk) 06:53, 12 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Jim Jones5.png requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement of https://th.bing.com/th/id/OIP.9JJBNyAzn7VgrAVfqWuzmgHaNa?pid=ImgDet&w=186&h=337&c=7. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
