No rush dude; I'll be preoccupied with IRL until the week after next at least, so so you can put away the knives until then :) Frankly, I'm not a huge Clash fan, I foud them po-faced and a bit serious, but jesus christ Paul Simonon is photogenic, and Joe always sang with conviction. Thank you, Ceoil and again for all your help on it! I've started my Cut the Crap comments (well, just one long initial comment so far, more to come). Hey, you'll notice I partially reverted your last edit on Pod about the Joey Santiago quote (I kept your start and end bits), but am happy to discuss if you strongly feel what I've got should be changed. I feel some of the bits in your version are already made clear from the sentences before and after, including Deal's submitting songs, her frustration, and the songs being rejected (by Francis or by the band as a whole). Hey, how’ve you been? Just now due to unusual circumstances my wife had to drop me off quickly in a certain part of town on her way to taking the kids somewhere and I was passing the local hockey arena. I happened to look in the window and happened to see a Pixies T-shirt, and I thought, “Oh yeah, the Pixies and Weezer are coming to town. Is that tonight?” I wasn’t planning to go, but here I am passing the very venue not long before the concert is about to start, and I have a free evening without my family and with other plans having been canceled. I checked online and it said “Only 10 tickets left! Hurry!” (Not sure if that was true or a gimmick.) I thought, “Is all this a sign that I’m supposed to break my post-Deal-era Pixies “boycott” (though that’s a little bit strong of a word) and give this lineup a chance to prove themselves? I thought about it for a sec, but in the end I just couldn’t get excited about the Pixies without Kim Deal. Maybe someday I’ll be able to, and maybe if I was there in the crowd hearing the opening chords of a classic tune I’d be able to. But today standing outside the hockey arena I just couldn’t. Hi Ceoil! Awesome, I'm looking forward to having another read-through of Cut the Crap. Lately Tuesday and Thursday evenings I often (but not always) have some time, so hopefully one of those days this week I can manage to start looking at it. Yeah, I'm excited about expanding Pacer and the Amps. I took them as far as I could in 2013 and 2014 but looking at the same sources (plus some new sources I've found) now, I'm relatively confident I can expand them quite a bit. We'll see if I can squeeze out enough material to make two FAs with enough different details in each (my crazy ultimate challenge)—I'm hoping that expanding them both at the same time will let me keep an eye on the balance of said details—but if I can't, well, even just a little expansion is always good! Cool. Can you emphasise please how pissed off she was with Black Francis the time. To the extent that she formed a sub-project from her anti-pixies project. Much as I love him, and the first six songs of the near contemporaneous Trompe le Monde, he was kind of a prick at the time. PS no hurry or rush with the review; whenever, whenever. Hi, Moisejp: I see you're still active. I've been weaving in and out the past few years as life has taken me here and there - yet all in the same place. Now it's on to something really different. I retired at the end of last year, so I've been adjusting to an entirely new paradigm: the freedom to do anything I want, short of buying a yacht or running away with the circus. What that actually means is I have fairly limitless time and as the lyric goes "a headful of ideas that are drivin' me insane." With that, I expect I'll slide back into the BD Project.

What made me think of you this morning is that on my radio show tomorrow, I'm going to feature songs that include the word "ain't." I'll be leading off with Richie Havens doing "Maggie's Farm," so for the hey of it I looked up how many songs Dylan did with "ain't" in the title or lyrics. The answer is 152, though he didn't write them all - as you know, his website lists many songs he recorded but were written by others. I'm looking at the setlist for your radio show from the link you sent me—it looks great! Is it possible to listen to it anytime? I was on the go this morning and missed it in real time. And do you have your show every week? I'm glad to hear you hope to be involved back in Bob Dylan. Let me know when you're working on something—I can't promise, but I can try to lend at least a little helping hand. The last few years I've been more involved in my other favourite musicians, the Breeders, but I did bring "Watching the River Flow" to FA a little while back. My next Dylan project I have my eye on, when I have time, is Together Through Life—I haven't got very far on it yet, but have collected a bunch of refs for future use: User:Moisejp/sandbox5. By the way, I was just in touch with Mick gold recently, and mentioned to him that the Bob Dylan portal (i.e., WikiProject Dylan), and various other portals, are being considered for deletion, due to lack of traffic. I'd be a little sad to see it go, but neither I nor Mick has written anything in the deletion discussion because it's true neither of us have been very active in it. We have a free app that's being tested and is available in the iTunes store. Search for WDIY, select "WDIY 88.1 NPR Radio," download the app, connect, select the menu (red block with white bars in the upper left), select Podcasts, then select All Reet Street. The app's so new I haven't used it yet, so I just gave it a test run and what I outlined works. I'm not sure what you'd have to do if you can't access iTunes on your PC or phone, that is, if the app is available elsewhere, but if the above doesn't work, let me know and I'll look into it. And yes, I do the show weekly, going back to 2001. I almost always include a Dylan song, original or cover, and sometimes around significant birthdays, I'll devote an entire show. Hey Allreet and Mick gold, now I'm confused and think I may have given you wrong information, apologies for that. I thought the Wikipedia:WikiProject Bob Dylan (which we were involved in) was the same as the Portal:Bob Dylan (which is being considered for deletion), but looking again it seems they may be completely different?! I'm not sure why having both would be necessary, and overall the WikiProject seems more appealing to me (maybe I'm biased for having worked on it). Allreet, I'll check out the app for WDIY soon. My only other small concern was whether “reunited” sounds like they reunited for the first time since the Last Splash era, when actually they had previously reunited the year before, in 2013.
