Yasin Taha Hafiz moved to draftspace

[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to Yasin Taha Hafiz. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit for review" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Hey man im josh (talk) 17:51, 18 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello @Hey man im josh,
Unfortunately, interacting on English Wikipedia is very discouraging. I often try to ignore some of the warnings because they are misplaced, and this makes me consider leaving it and focusing solely on contributing to Arabic Wikipedia. No matter what you do, you find your articles being deleted or ignored for unconvincing reasons. The biographies I wrote about are well-known, and there are numerous Arabic sources about them. However, it seems that searching for the Arabic name instead of relying on the English name should be the standard for determining the significance of a topic or article. This might be my last contribution here. Best regards.   Mohammed Qays  (🗣) 18:17, 18 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You are allowed to use non-English sources for articles on English Wikipedia @Mohammed Qays. The article was moved to draft space (not deleted) primarily due to a lack of sources which help to establish the person's notability. Hey man im josh (talk) 18:19, 18 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Hey man im josh And what about the article Abdul Razzak Abdul Wahid? The response was unconvincing despite the presence of sources for every piece of information.   Mohammed Qays  (🗣) 18:22, 18 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The Reuters and Al Jazeera sources are certainly good sources, but I'm not familiar with the first source used, the one hosted on Archive.org. Perhaps that's the issue that @Mims Mentor ran into as well? I'm not sure since I did not review that myself. I think if you found one or two more sources mentioning him as any of those poet titles it would help significantly towards having the article be accepted at AfC. @Hey man im josh Thank you for explaining each paragraph, this is exactly what I needed. Best regards to you, have a great day!   Mohammed Qays  (🗣) 18:32, 18 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You as well, and thank you for the effort you're putting in to improve English Wikipedia's coverage in areas that are often more neglected due to language barriers! Hey man im josh (talk) 18:33, 18 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
