[edit]

Hi, your talk page setup and rules are bound to cause problems - if someone clicks the standard button for posting a new message, it will be put at the very bottom of the page, and the person will never even see your rules. LadyofShalott 07:23, 12 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sure, I can clarify. You're right, you can hit "edit this page", and a person doing that would see your remarks. However, immediately to the right of that tab is one that, depending on your display, either says "new section" or is just a + sign. It is very, very common for people going to user talk pages to click that tab. If you do so, you get a blank editing box, and do not see any of the rest of the code on the talk page. The post that is made this way is then authomatically put as a new section at the bottom of the page. Does this help? LadyofShalott 07:33, 12 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

OK, I have moved the article to your sandbox. This will allow you time to get it into shape before putting it back into the mainspace. You can find it at User:Mod mmg/Phosphor (game). LadyofShalott 07:41, 12 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You see it? LadyofShalott 07:50, 12 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
What do you mean? Are you asking how I moved it? Or something else? LadyofShalott 08:04, 12 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I don't understand your question. You created a new page - I just moved it for you. When you ask how did I create "that page in the first place", what page are you referring to? LadyofShalott 15:07, 12 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, I'll answer what I think you are asking. You had an article at Phosphor (game). I clicked on the move tab and added your userspace information to the front of the article name to make User:Mod mmg/Phosphor (game). If you want to create a sandbox yourself you can do so by typing in the search box to the left User:Mod mmg/WhateverNameYouWant. I hope this helps. LadyofShalott 16:14, 12 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Wait!! It looks like you've been trying to create the article in mainspace again. Do not do that now. The version you originally started is at User:Mod mmg/Phosphor (game). That's where you need to work on it until you have it ready for the mainspace. If you put what you have now in the main article area of the encyclopedia, it will be deleted. Why? Because it does not show notability as defined by Wikipedia. Are there any magazines or major websites (besides its own) that discuss this game? I'm going to give you a welcome message below with links to some good information. :) LadyofShalott 15:20, 12 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

@LadyofShalott: I never new there was a standard button for posting a new message, I thought you had to go through the "Edit This Page" button which displays my hidden rules. Can you please clafify what you mean? Mod mmg (talk) 07:29, 12 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

@LadyofShalott: Hmm... I can't change it now, my new page is earmarked for speedy deletion! It is important! Just because I can't type very fast! Mod mmg (talk) 07:37, 12 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

@LadyofShalott: Yep, how do you get those new pages though? Mod mmg (talk) 07:52, 12 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

@LadyofShalott: I'm asking how you made that page in the first place. Mod mmg (talk) 09:11, 12 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I am now going to embark upon creating a whole new page! It will be on "Phosphor", a popular online first person shooter that can be played from the browser with the help of Adobe Shockwave and a plugin that holds the curser in the middle of the screen. The article can be found here.Mod mmg (talk) 07:08, 12 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Update: My new article got bannished to my sandbox until it is fully completed. It can be found here.

I am now going to reconstruct my talk page, beginning with sending lots of my messages to an archive page here now that I know how user's sandboxes work!

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Phosphor (game) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for web content. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. RE : I Must Protest

[edit]

The reasons of the article's details have been outlined by the editor's comments here. If you are able to address the issues underlying it, you would be able to recreate the article. You might wish to use a userpage sandbox to write up the article first. See this page for tips on how to do so. - Best regards, Mailer Diablo 09:31, 12 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I've already set up a sandbox version at User:Mod mmg/Phosphor (game). This is where the article needs to develop. LadyofShalott 15:24, 12 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
