[edit]Hello, I'm Drchriswilliams. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Ian MacLaurin, Baron MacLaurin of Knebworth, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Drchriswilliams (talk) 12:24, 5 August 2020 (UTC)

Since you are agreeing to avoid COI edits, what will you edit about if unblocked? 331dot (talk) 19:53, 5 August 2020 (UTC)
I will likely choose not to directly edit after this, rather I would propose changes to articles using Talk pages etc. and let them be reviewed and potentially added by other editors, if they see fit. (Mobile Cancer Care Units (talk) 08:24, 6 August 2020 (UTC))
- What topics will you contribute about? 331dot (talk) 08:28, 6 August 2020 (UTC)
Hope for Tomorrow are a UK cancer charity, registered charity no. 1094677. The charity has sought permission from its Patrons (Ross Brawn, David Richards, David Brabham, Ian MacLaurin, Derek Bell, Gloria Hunniford & Nick Fry) to add to their Wikipedia page the statement: 'NAME is a Patron of Hope for Tomorrow, a UK charity dedicated to bringing cancer care closer to patients homes via Mobile Cancer Care Units (MCCU's')'. Apologies for any confusion caused, this was not the intention, simply wanting to add a statement of fact, having observed other UK charity patrons name their affiliated charity on their page. I was simply hoping to do the same but had initially misunderstood the process of doing so and clearly made a mistake in editing. I fully appreciate Wikipedia's editorial stance and apologise for the breach of guidelines, which was not my intention at all. If more clarification is needed, I would be very happy to talk to explain the matter, I am Emma Bowles, an employee of Hope for Tomorrow, you can contact me (redacted). Thank you and apologies again. - I've redacted your personal information for your own protection; you should not post it in this public forum. Wikipedia is, frankly, not interested in how a charity describes itself, no matter how good the work they do is. Wikipedia is only interested in how third parties describe article subjects. 331dot (talk) 09:16, 6 August 2020 (UTC)
