Good compromise

[edit]

While you were doing that, I gave your excellent article on Ultralab a spit-polish. Keep up the good work. youngamerican (talk) 16:00, 27 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I could tell that it was written by someone associated with it. Wikipedia tends to discourage people from editing articles on people or projects that they are closely associated with, but I don't think that there si a problem here, since you seem to be an intelligent scholar. Well-meaning people will, from time to time, make improvements to the article to tone-down overly poisitive and negative language, but its all in the name of creating a neutral point of view, comprehensive encyclopedia of everything.
As far as Anglia Ruskin, I was an exchange student at the Cambridge campus of then-APU in Spring 2000 and fell in love with the place. Not too many people edit the article, so it is exciting to see a new editor that has the love for ARU.
Do you think you can snap a photo of the Chelmsford campus for the article? I could help you in uploading and formatting if you wish. youngamerican (talk) 16:23, 27 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

We are..

[edit]

..seperated by a common language. :) youngamerican (talk) 16:27, 27 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

yes we are... :-)
No problem, that is possible. Chelmsford is a two campus site, 'Central Campus' has been sold for redevelopment into housing, all operations are moving to 'Rivermead Campus' (also in Chelmsford). 'Brentwood Campus' and 'Danbury Campus' have been closed down. A new 'Peterborough Campus', 'Harlow Campus' and 'Thurruck Campus' are in planning.
I'm sure you would rater see a picture of Rivermead.

Mjeaves 16:32, 27 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Use your judgement, but, yeah, the Rivermead campus sounds like the best bet. The article only has the Cambs. campus right now and I think that all of the campuses deserve equal representation on the article. youngamerican (talk) 16:47, 27 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for Image:Angliaruskinlogo.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Angliaruskinlogo.jpg. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 09:04, 6 July 2006 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of How to Survive a Long Haul Flight (Book)

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article How to Survive a Long Haul Flight (Book), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

No claim to notability, fails WP:BK

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Hi there, I'm HasteurBot. I just wanted to let you know that Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/CreativeLMS, a page you created, has not been edited in at least 180 days. The Articles for Creation space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for articlespace.

If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it.

You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements.

If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available at WP:REFUND/G13.

Thank you for your attention. HasteurBot (talk) 15:08, 20 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, CreativeLMS

[edit]

Hello Mjeaves. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled CreativeLMS.

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/CreativeLMS}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. HasteurBot (talk) 18:02, 6 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The file File:How to Survive a Long Haul Flight Cover.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Orphaned image with no foreseeable encyclopedic use.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
