Thank you, Darren for your response. The problem is the following: I am a new (would-be) contributor. I have made, since yesterday, a lot of contributions and a few corrections to the 'Live at the Fillmore'-page. You could have a look at 'View History' to see what I did. I acknowledge that it's slow going and I have had to make - painstakingly - a lot of corrections to my work, but, hey, I'm learning, isn'it ? Now, about 2 hours ago I saw that allmost all my work has been deleted. I have no idea why. I have noticed that there's was an intervention of an automated bot, which deleted one citation. I have no problem with that, but searching in the guidelines, as suggested by the bot, I did not find what I did wrong and why my citation was not acceptable. Maybe the action of the bot and the deletion of most of my work are not connected. So my 2 question are: What caused my work to be deleted ? How can I avoid that ?
Thank you,
Paul, a.k.a.'MisteriousTraveller', Belgium.Misterioustraveller (talk) 17:30, 15 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Misterioustraveller, Sorry for the delayed reply. It looks like a bot didn't like your edit because it included a reference to a blacklisted domain (Discogs.com). You should be able to re-try the edit avoiding that domain as a reference/external link and it should work. You can view the difference between your edit and what the bot reverted here. Hello, Misterioustraveller. I fixed that for you, here. Going forward, it would be best to avoid using discogs.com for references, since the bot doesn't like it! — Mudwater (Talk)00:07, 16 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Darren & Mudwater. Thank you both for your replies. I'm surprised that Discogs is prohibited as it contains a lot of factual information on albums, and it was certainly used in the past. It is also a commercial site, maybe that's why. Soit (french for: so be it), I won't use it again. For MW: I have read your remark on the Fillmore-list concerning 'title' or 'recorded'. I will, for the time being, continue adding to that list but only records with 'Fillmore' in the title. Maybe, in a later stage, after more discussion with interested parties, we can split the list up (or not).
Muchas Gracias, Mudwater, for your all your help. I feel really elated that my work is back. Today I will start by adding citations to my earlier contributions, avoiding Discogs. I'm totally new to contributing to WP, so there's a lot that I don't have any clue about, but I also see that you learn fast while on the job. Maybe in a few days, we can start a discussion on how to continue and diversify this list. 'Fillmore' was an important notion for us (my friends and me) from 1969 on, even in the small town in Belgium where we lived , and now I am 65: that's why I started here. Thank you, again.Misterioustraveller (talk) 08:22, 16 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
