License tagging for Image:All Ciara's Got.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:All Ciara's Got.jpg. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 20:04, 3 June 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for experimenting with Wikipedia. The links you added to the page Ciara have been removed. Please do not add commercial links—or links to your own private websites—to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or a mere collection of external links. You are, however, encouraged to add content instead of links. See the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. Thanks. --Yamla 20:43, 3 June 2006 (UTC)
Yamla, I just added a link to Ciara's filmography, I thought about making a page about it. But it was just too complicated, so i put it as a link instead. Can you please keep it there? -- Miss Ciara 20:48, 3 June 2006
- No. Please read WP:EL to see under what rare circumstances we allow external links on the Wikipedia. Also, please note that I reverted some other changes you made to Ciara. You were hotlinking album titles to the specific song instead of the album at large. Thanks. --Yamla 20:51, 3 June 2006 (UTC)
Oh, my bad, I ment to put them straight to the album. Oh yeah, why is it that there aren't any pages or video descriptions of "1, 2 Step" or "Oh" yet there are for other artists such as Missy Elliot and Bow Wow. -- Miss Ciara 20:48, 3 June 2006
Image Tagging Image:Promotional Shoot for MixedEmotions.jpg
[edit]This media may be deleted.
|
Thanks for uploading Image:Promotional Shoot for MixedEmotions.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then it needs to be specified where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, consider reading fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other media, consider checking that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Yamla 20:52, 3 June 2006 (UTC)
Inappropriate user name
[edit]I'm sorry but your username is inappropriate. Please see WP:USERNAME for more information. You need to pick a username that does not contain "Ciara". If you need help changing your user name, please give me a shout and I'll give you all the help I can. Thanks! --Yamla 20:57, 3 June 2006 (UTC)
- Why do i have to change me username, Yamla?!
- Please read WP:USERNAME. --Yamla 21:03, 3 June 2006 (UTC)
Please change your username. You can no longer edit using your current username. --Yamla 02:50, 4 June 2006 (UTC)
- A'ight, fine! How do I change it? --Miss Ciara 09:11, 4 June 2006
Er, sorry if I've missed something, but how is this user's user name against WP:USERNAME? - ulayiti (talk) 13:21, 4 June 2006 (UTC)
- To put that another way, no, you don't need to change your user name, there's nothing wrong with it. Feel free to continue editing under this user name, and please don't be intimidated by all this (editors are not supposed to bite newcomers). Welcome to Wikipedia, and happy editing! :) - ulayiti (talk) 13:49, 4 June 2006 (UTC)
- My belief was that this name was confusingly similar to Ciara and, indeed, this was the reason why Miss Ciara decided on that name. However, as another admin believes that "Miss Ciara" is not close enough, I withdraw my request. It is certainly debateable. I wish you many happy edits, Miss Ciara! --Yamla 13:46, 4 June 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks you guys for welcoming me into your world of wikipedia! --Miss Ciara 10:04, 4 June 2006
Copyright violation
[edit]Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We appreciate your contributions to the The Terror Mansion article, but we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. Perhaps you would like to rewrite the article in your own words. For more information, take a look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Happy editing! --Yamla 01:16, 5 June 2006 (UTC)
- I can't rewrite something like that, if I did all I would say is "some people gonna get killed". You could rewrite it, you're a genius --Miss Ciara 17:20, 5 June 2006
Additionally, this article has already been created and deleted, though you had no way of knowing that. Please read WP:NOT to see what articles are inappropriate for Wikipedia. Also, please note that we have been unable to find any reliable verifiable citation that indicates this is a real movie. The single source we have found so far is a totally unreliable website on piczo. Anyway, if you feel the article really would be notable and if you can resolve the copyright violation, the first step is to read WP:UNDEL in order to get the article "undeleted". --Yamla 01:16, 5 June 2006 (UTC)

Fair use
[edit]Your changes to All You've Got were reverted. You added the image, Image:All Ciara's Got.jpg, but forgot once again to add a detailed fair-use rationale for its use on that page. Additionally, the image still does not have source information. Please read the links above to understand what is required for images. --Yamla 03:09, 6 June 2006 (UTC)
- Yamla, are you like the person that made this site? --Miss Ciara 07:40, 6 June 2006
- No, just trying to help you understand Wikipedia policies. --Yamla 14:38, 6 June 2006 (UTC)
- So, why do you keep harassing me?! --Miss Ciara 15:26, 6 June 2006
- I'm not. Many of your edits are great but I do not comment on those. And I understand that you are new but we still can't have copyright violations go unchecked around here, for example. --Yamla 19:32, 6 June 2006 (UTC)
Do you mean the copyrighted stuff on The Terror Mansion from here? --Miss Ciara 15:34, 6 June 2006
- Yes, and the images you have been uploading. --Yamla 20:18, 6 June 2006 (UTC)
Image copyright problem with Image:So What Ciara.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:So What Ciara.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}
.
Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Yamla 19:26, 7 June 2006 (UTC)
Blanking
[edit]You may not remove current warnings from this page. --Yamla 19:38, 7 June 2006 (UTC)
- But this is my page, I should be allowed to do what I want with it. --Miss Ciara 15:38, 8 June 2006
- No. Please read WP:OWN. This page is a record of other people's interaction with you, along with current (and, in many cases, unresolved) warnings. You could be regarded as the owner of your comments (that is, the comments you wrote), but you certainly don't own the comments I wrote. --Yamla 19:43, 7 June 2006 (UTC)
- You may also want to read WP:USER. Note, though, there is a difference between your user page and your user talk page. --Yamla 19:44, 7 June 2006 (UTC)
- Well, then don't TALK to me, you jackass! --Miss Ciara 15:44, 8 June 2006
- Look, I'm happy to stop leaving comments here if you start adhering to copyright and fair use requirements and other such Wikipedia policies and guidelines. But I note that you still haven't gone back and fixed any of the images you have uploaded, for example. --Yamla 19:48, 7 June 2006 (UTC)
- Also, please see WP:NPA. --Yamla 19:50, 7 June 2006 (UTC)
- Get a life --Miss Ciara 15:52, 8 June 2006
I'm unblocked! --Miss Ciara 15:52, 8 June 2006
- Well, no, we allow you to edit this page while blocked, in case you want to request an unblock. You can request an unblock by using {{unblock|Justification for unblock}}. --Yamla 20:00, 7 June 2006 (UTC)
- Don't you have someone else to bother? --Miss Ciara 19:13, 8 June 2006
Copyright violation

An acceptional writer
[edit]Suggestion: Look up "acceptional" in a dictionary. It is rather humorous that it is placed on your user page next to "writer". Sort of an Engrish thing. --Kainaw (talk) 19:55, 7 June 2006 (UTC)
Get a life, you stupid ass fucker, retarded whore, incompetent loser! I'm unblocked! --Miss Ciara 15:52, 8 June 2006
- Your block has been extended to 48 hours. Personal attacks are unacceptable. Any more personal attacks from you may result in a longer block and I will protect this page so you can no longer leave comments here. --Yamla 20:02, 7 June 2006 (UTC)
- Look, Kainaw's the one that "personally attacked" me, did you NOT just read their post. They gonna try to be smart with it, because they scared to say what they feel. You unfair, Yamla! --Miss Ciara 19:08, 8 June 2006.
- Please reread WP:NPA. Kainaw pointed out a spelling mistake that you made on your user page. It was a factual statement and did not in any way impune your character. Your response, on the other hand, was a blatant and excessive personal attack. --Yamla 23:46, 7 June 2006 (UTC)
- Oh, I thought he was "tryna" make me look stupid. --Miss Ciara 21:07, 8 June 2006
- If was trying to make you look stupid, I would have called you some name, such as "Hey stupid, you can't spell!" Instead, on your personal talk page - where hardly anyone else would see it - I suggested you look up the word to ensure it is the word you want to use. How am I to know it is a typo? It could be exactly what you want and I'm the stupid one who doesn't get it.
- Life on Wikipedia is much easier if you assume good faith. The number of trolls and vandals on Wikipedia are much smaller than the number of good faith users. --Kainaw (talk) 13:15, 8 June 2006 (UTC)
Extended block
[edit]Your block has been extended to a full week. Fraudulently altering other people's signed comments is completely unacceptable and may be grounds for a permanent block. --Yamla 23:42, 7 June 2006 (UTC)

Your User page
[edit]I'm sorry to do this, on top of your other current problems, but I have removed the image from your User page because it's against copyright law to have an image from an album cover on your user page. At best, you could claim that it was being used as fair use, but that would only be allowable on an article about the album. User:Zoe|(talk) 23:38, 9 June 2006 (UTC)
- That was not her album cover, her album cover can be found here. Her album name is Goodies NOT Miss Ciara! So, I guess you just took down my home-made image for no apparent reason, huh? What, you don't have anything better to do with yourself? --Miss Ciara 08:59, 11 June 2006
- And where did the photograph come from? User:Zoe|(talk) 15:57, 12 June 2006 (UTC)
Sockpuppet
[edit]You were caught using a sockpuppet. You already know that sockpuppets are not permitted here on Wikipedia. As you still have several days left in your block, I have chosen not to extend it. Please note that if you are caught doing this again, it may be grounds for a permanent block. --Yamla 14:44, 11 June 2006 (UTC)
- I see that you also used an anonymous IP address and directly edited several articles, signing your name as Miss Ciara. Your block has been replaced with another of one week starting now. Any further use of sockpuppets may result in a permanent ban of this account. --Yamla 14:51, 11 June 2006 (UTC)
Attack on my user account
