Images

[edit]

I disagree with your rationale for the removal of the images at the daxophone article and have explained my reasoning at Talk:Daxophone#Images. You're welcome to contribute to the discussion at the article's talk page. Huon (talk) 21:51, 3 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hey there

[edit]

I'm embarrassed about my behavior in 2015, with all the daxophone drama, creating the article about you, etc... MDaxo (talk) 02:16, 3 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Your account has been indefinitely blocked from editing because your account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia. Also, your username indicates that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or web site, which is against the username policy.

If you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization, you may request unblock and a username change. In your reasons, you must:

  • Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the paid-contribution disclosure requirement.
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
  • Provide a new username.

To do this, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked.

Please note that the new username you choose cannot already be taken and in use by another account. You can go here to search and see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If the search returns that no global account with that username exists, that means it is available to be taken.

Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. Alexf(talk) 01:19, 3 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Requested username:

Request reason:

I understand I have been blocked because my username indicates that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or web site, which is against the username policy. My wikipedia username was created before I started my website. Now I realize they share a username and that's against the username policy, so I propose a new wikipedia username, Misophone, which does not conflict with the wikipedia username policy. I believe an unpublished version of an edit to the daxophone wikipedia page set off an "advertising alert" on wikipedia, but I modified my edits to make sure I published content that did not conflict with Wikipedia's policy regarding advertising or promotion. Furthermore I have helped edit the page to remove other links that could be considered promotion. I humbly ask that you unblock my account. Because blocking is meant to be educational, rather than punitive, I ask you to consider unblocking me on the condition that I will assiduously maintain community standards. I understand now that linking to my own website is bad practice on wikipedia. I know that this practice doesn’t improve SEO and was never doing it for that reason, but because I thought it was a good source to cite. I can continue to improve the webpage for daxophone without linking to my own site however— but rather other publications on external websites and writing by other authors. Furthermore, I intend to contribute actively to building out the category of friction idiophones on wikipedia, such as translating the "https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lounuat" page to English.

Accept reason:

I have moved your unblock request to the bottom of the page. New postings on discussion pages should be placed at the bottom of the page to preserve the correct chronological order. An administrator will review your unblock request. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 20:35, 25 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
