Wikipedia is a wiki, so anyone can edit almost any article by simply following the Edit this page link at the top. You don't even need to log in (although there are many reasons why you might want to). The Wikipedia community encourages you to be bold in updating pages. Don't worry too much about making honest mistakes — they're likely to be found and corrected quickly. I thought your comment was quite valid on the Bete Israel discussion page. In fact, in the past year or two, certain American elitists of high ranking authority on Wikipedia have falsely accused my contributions to the Bete Israel page of being "vandalism" even though I am high ranking clergy in Bete Israel and was adding facts as an official authority. They don't really want to hear official facts. They want to imagine that they are the great white anthropologist who knows about my people and my faith better than I do!
