William Mirtle

[edit]

Pure curiosity, but are you a descendant? Cheers, Acad Ronin (talk) 20:42, 8 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

William Mirtle is my first cousin, eight times removed. His grandfather was another William Mirtle, who is my oldest verified ancestor. I have done quite a bit of research into my family history, and am hoping to get some of the more interesting parts onto Wikipedia. Mirtlem (talk) 12:23, 9 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Mirtlem: I spend most of my WP time writing up vessels of the 1793-1815 period +/-. One of my target audiences is genealogists. I keep hoping that someone will be delighted to discover an article on an obscure vessel that perhaps their first cousin, eight times removed, had sailed on. It has happened to me twice. I wish you luck in your endeavors and hope that it turns out that one of them did sail on some vessel I have written about. Cheers, Acad Ronin (talk) 02:20, 10 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Balasore Roads

[edit]

Hi Mirtlem, Many thanks for creating the Balasore Roads article. I am just now going through Wikipedia and creating links to the article in articles that mention the Roads. The article will end up well-linked. Also the map you provided is superb. I am going to add that to a site or two. Cheers, Acad Ronin (talk) 14:44, 20 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Glad to help out! I knew I needed to make a short article after I found that wonderful chart. Mirtlem (talk) 14:48, 20 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
