Hey. I'm just wondering: why did you mark Achewood to be included in WP Furry? I guess I just don't follow the connection. — HelloAnnyong (say whaaat?!) 04:04, 28 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This maybe your answer. miranda 04:26, 28 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
So because a separate Wiki has a listing for Achewood, that means that it should be included on main Wiki space? And as a mid-importance? I really don't agree with that logic. — HelloAnnyong (say whaaat?!) 04:35, 28 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
If you don't like it, you can change it. I just noticed that since the cartoon deals with animals exerting human characteristics, I thought that the article fits in with the project. miranda 05:12, 28 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion Review

[edit]

Jerry speaks highly of you. Could you provide your great input here, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Deletion_review/Log/2008_November_29#Rolando_Gomez Thanks! 72.191.15.133 (talk) 19:23, 30 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion Review You Voted in Favor of Relisting/Overturn

[edit]

Miranda, you voted to either re-list or overturn this article and to help clean it up, [1] after a 2nd AfD deletion. Unfortunately the article now, is incomplete with sources from the state when it was set for a 2nd AfD, many source links, found on this page, [2] are now deleted. This is unfair and perhaps you can help get this straight and give Wikipedia a better name for what it once stood for. --74.223.216.130 (talk) 05:08, 8 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion review for Rolando Gomez

[edit]

An editor has asked for a deletion review of Rolando Gomez. Since you closed the deletion discussion for this page, speedy-deleted it, or otherwise were interested in the page, you might want to participate in the deletion review.--72.191.15.133 (talk) 18:50, 11 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Probably not. Kind of busy. Might want to read COI. miranda 21:22, 14 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello

[edit]

My most sincere pleasure. When the sprotect expires, please remove the template for me, as I'm bound to forget! And if the BLP IP vandalism returns in any quantity, please drop me a line asap. --Dweller (talk) 10:54, 12 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I reviewed Wikipedia:Requests_for_adminship/Miranda. That was quite a long time ago. How do you think your critics then would assess you now? (ie not were those concerns justified then, but do you imagine they'd voice similar concerns now, to the best of your judgement) --Dweller (talk) 11:00, 12 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I like working on content rather than on administrative tasks. Thanks for your consideration, though. miranda 21:26, 14 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

OK, no problem. --Dweller (talk) 12:38, 15 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re:Vandalism

[edit]

You mentioned This was not vandalism, however, the definition of vandalism (WP:Vandalism) I am working from is: "Vandalism is any addition, removal, or change of content made in a deliberate attempt to compromise the integrity of Wikipedia". It seems clear to me that there is a deliberate attempt with the Julia Allison article for the integrity of Wikipedia to be compromised, in such a way that betters the subject. Icemotoboy (talk) 03:15, 15 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

He just removed tags, and he's an experienced user. So, I would doubt he would remove content, especially on a BLP. You need to re-read BLP, vandalism, and dispute to establish the differences between what is or what is not vandalism. miranda 03:17, 15 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Wait, which revision are you talking about? I'm not taking about the removal of the tags which didn't bother me at all - I reverted the edit because there were content changes:

From:

Julia Allison is an American columnist, the editor-at-large for Star and a columnist for Time Out New York. She appears on the cable networks MSNBC, Headline News, and Fox Business frequently and in the past Fox News. She was the author of a weekly social column entitled "The Dating Life" which appeared in AM New York. Allison is originally from Wilmette, a northern suburb of Chicago.

to:

Julia Allison is an American writer and media personality. She is a columnist for Time Out New York, and has made guest appearances on the cable networks MSNBC, Headline News, Fox Business, and Fox News. She was formerly the author of a dating column for AM New York and an editor-at-large for Star. Allison is originally from Wilmette, a northern suburb of Chicago.

Which has been part of an ongoing saga with the subject, Julia Allison, changing the article to suit herself.Icemotoboy (talk) 03:26, 15 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

There has been a BLP dispute with this page, if you would look at the talk page. Shoess was protecting the BLP's interest and did not know that Ms. Allison did not work for Star Magazine anymore. Thus, it is not vandalism, but a dispute. miranda 09:26, 15 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Looks like I got awfully confused somewhere along the line, sorry about that. My reverts are reverted now anyway. Icemotoboy (talk) 02:00, 17 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Miranda, Shoess did know that Allison did not work for Star Magazine; I dropped a note on her Talk page to explain my edit and pointed out that Allison's own webpage had the updated info. She went ahead and reverted it anyway, thus preserving the outdated information, for reasons I can't understand. I think Icemotoboy's description of it as "vandalism" may be a bit harsh, but it was a bizarre edit that removed correct information and replaced it with incorrect information for no apparent reason.76.24.22.55 (talk) 23:17, 17 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, Miranda: that comment at 23:17 was me; I mistakenly thought I was logged in. IceCreamEmpress (talk) 23:18, 17 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
That's okay. miranda 23:19, 17 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Reviewing DST Page for Content

[edit]

Hi Miranda, if possible, whenever you have a chance could you give me your feedback on what is listed so far and what may need to be included or developed, from a neutral party's perspective?

Thanks (talk) 2:17, 15 December 2008 (UTC) Divainred

I placed a Peer Review on the talk page. miranda 18:39, 20 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re

I see what you're saying about the image, but I thought an SEC image would be considered public. I'll take your word for it, though, because I don't know if the image is considered public / free. About owning the page, I'm merely attempting to make valid points before other editors carelessly paste snippets into the article. All of the recent edits in question have been and are being discussed on the talk page, but other users are disregarding discussion and publishing inaccuracies and irrelevancies anyways. I'm not doing anything to own the article, I'm just trying to protect its neutrality, accuracy, and reliability (all through discussion). Mikco (talk) 20:56, 15 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Miranda! I just wanted to wish you and your family a merry Christmas! May this Christmas be full of great cheer and holiday spirit. Again, merry Christmas! Ashbey 00:58, 25 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I won't be in DC again for two weeks, but when I do get there, I'll see if I have the time to make the trip. According to Google Maps, it would take me over 40 minutes (Metro + walking) to get there. Nishkid64 (Make articles, not wikidrama) 23:39, 28 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wow. You don't have to do it if you don't want to do it. Thanks, anyway. miranda 23:40, 28 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
