Hi Minstraussman, here are some thoughts about your current sandbox draft:
- Wikipedia section titles are written in "sentence case" not "title case", meaning that just the first word and any proper nouns are capitalized. So instead of a section "Early Life and Education", you would have "Early life and education"
- In general, all content on Wikipedia should be referenced. If consecutive sentences come from the same source, the citation can be added once at the end of the consecutive sentences rather than duplicated at the end of each sentence. In that vein, no paragraph should end without a citation, and no paragraphs should lack citations. I see several paragraphs that lack citations or end without one, which is a red flag. Where does this content come from? How will the reader know it's verifiable?
- Wikipedia biographies begin with the person's name, and then their birth and death dates in parentheses. So your first sentence would be: Reysa Verhaeghe or Reysa Bernson (September 28, 1904 – 1944) was a French astronomer.
- This person is deceased, so make sure your verb tenses are all in the past (first sentence)
I think your biggest task moving forward is making sure all the content is verifiable by associating each piece of information with a reliable source. The rest of the fixes are minor style things that shouldn't take very long. Let me know if you have questions. Elysia (Wiki Ed) (talk) 20:02, 19 May 2020 (UTC)
Hey Elysia (Wiki Ed), thanks for your feedback! I really appreciate the style guidance. Your point about citations is well-taken. I have them all saved, I was just a bit pressed for time and didn't add them. I'll go ahead and do that this week. Should I then come back to you for another round of feedback before I publish? Thanks again! mintoes 21:30, 19 May 2020 (UTC)
