Sustainable Development Goals and Iran
[edit]Hello, Miniapolis – I had copy-edited this article about five weeks ago. It involved more than copy-editing, including putting non-standard English into standard English and improving the formatting. I kept it on my watch list, and I just saw this edit to the article. I don't really understand the edit summary, so I don't know what to make of the edit. What do you think? – Corinne (talk) 01:58, 18 November 2017 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker) It looks like someone's awkward attempt to make the article's title appear in the lead sentence. See WP:BEGIN. – Jonesey95 (talk) 02:03, 18 November 2017 (UTC)
- You may be right, Jonesey; I hadn't thought of that. I checked the editor's contribs and talk page; they've been very active recently, but their talk page still has posts from 2014. Since the edit wasn't an improvement, I undid it. All the best, Miniapolis 02:07, 18 November 2017 (UTC)
Saxons
[edit]What do you think of these edits to Saxons? I think the adverbs "first" and "soon" add to the meaning. I don't know about lowercase "empire", but I tend to think it's all right. – Corinne (talk) 16:40, 18 November 2017 (UTC)
- I agree about "first" and "soon" in this context. IMO, Roman Empire should always be capitalized as a proper name; "continent" (meaning Europe) looks okay, since I think "the Continent" as a synonym for Europe is modern usage. Happy Thanksgiving and all the best, Miniapolis 19:33, 18 November 2017 (UTC)

- Thanks for your email. You may not have seen the notice at the top of this page that I no longer accept direct copyedit requests (for sanity reasons), and I'm currently working on the backlog of oldest tagged articles. WP has no deadline; keep listing your articles at WP:GOCE/REQ and they'll get done. Good luck with the GAs and all the best, Miniapolis 14:30, 21 November 2017 (UTC)
