[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Random86. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Sistar without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; I restored the removed content. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks! Random86 (talk) 10:43, 17 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Erm hi Random86. I personally think that the content u added in sistar is really unnecessary. I hope it would be better if you take them down and instead update about the sistar showtime in their 'filmography' column. Why i think its unnecessary : 1. Starship planet love is u, previously starship planet songs like snow candy is not written in sistar page so its really weird when 'love is u' is suddenly up there. Same goes to best female group, mama award. Its not written on the page when they got the award in 2012. And people know sistar achievements in their awards page. So all these is unnecessary. I hope u can just focus updating on their albums, songs instead of others not related topics. Thanks a lot.

When you don't leave an edit summary, your edits are more likely to be reverted. Keep in mind that I didn't add any of this content to Sistar's page; I just reverted your edits because you removed a lot and didn't explain why. If you think something is unnecessary, you can remove it, but if other editors disagree you should start a discussion on the talk page. The MAMA award can be included because it is a major award; it doesn't matter that they also have an awards page. The 2012 award can be added as well. I'm not sure what you mean about "sistar showtime". --Random86 (talk) 22:41, 17 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Anyway,I feel that it is really unnecessary so I am going to remove the content. I don't think anybody will add those kind of un-related information to a page. Maybe just for the mama award information, I was quite shocked when I saw that cause its not really related. Its just an award show, not like they released a new album which is more important. I feel that we should just focus on things like albums and new releases as i previously stated. Same for the starship planet thing. Its the whole company doing it,not sistar only. I just feel that those info u added in is not really a need. It might be better if you can take them down because to me,its really weird when I read that portion. Just to add in, for the showtime thing, its Sistar upcoming variety show so i was thinking if u can add it in in the 'filmography section cause i m not really sure how to do it haha lolz. Yup,THANK U!

You still need to sign posts on your own talk page, so don't forget that next time. I don't really understand your point of view. For example, do you think musicians who win Grammy Awards shouldn't have it mentioned on their articles? Winning a major award is more notable than endorsements and television show appearances, but you seem to fine with those being on Sistar's page. --Random86 (talk) 02:27, 18 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I just think that it is unnecessary. Even Exo win the most major award ' Album of the year' 'Artist of the year',they didn't mention in their page as well. Awards are awards. They should stay in the awards and nominations/achievements page. But I am not continue this forever so yea. Enough said, if no problems, maybe I suggest removing the particular content. If not okay, then you can just leave them there.

There are other K-pop group pages that do include major awards in the body of the article, including A Pink, Super Junior, and Girls' Generation. --Random86 (talk) 06:18, 18 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. Random86 (talk) 06:10, 18 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

So you still insist on putting the content on Sistar page? Nothing wrong but if its me,I wouldn't put it up there as its not 100% related if you get what I mean. Just a bit uncomfortable reading the information there. But of course I would have to ask you first before taking down. MindyChua (talk) 06:57, 18 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Stop deleting our discussion

[edit]

Please stop deleting content from my user talk page. What was the warning for, anyway? --Random86 (talk) 04:43, 10 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Apologies, did I delete "our" conversation? Apologies if I did it made a mistake, but I don't remember removing any content from your page. As for the warning,I was just a bit pissed because you removed the information I added in Sistar article. There was once when I asked you first before taking down the content you put up in Sistar article. Remember? But you didn't ask me anything and you removed my content in Sistar article straight away. So who's the one removing things? MindyChua (talk) 04:51, 10 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
You removed the discussion from my talk page twice. Are you saying you don't remember doing that? I already explained why I edited the discography section, and that edit didn't require asking your permission. And you still don't understand the earlier issue; you didn't remove content I put up on Sistar, you removed content someone else put up (without leaving an edit summary). --Random86 (talk) 05:03, 10 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Chill man. Now,how about those who don't have/yet to release a studio album? So you are telling me their discography section is blank? The problem is not about sistar. Well,I already said. Apologies if i did remove your content,or supposingly OUR content. Thank you MindyChua (talk) 10:05, 10 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Those that don't have studio albums, I left EPs. If you want to keep talking about this, you can start a discussion at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Musicians/Article guidelines. --Random86 (talk) 22:29, 10 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hi there! Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

I noticed your recent edit to List of awards and nominations received by Sistar does not have an edit summary. Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. Thanks! Random86 (talk) 07:32, 26 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Sistar. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been reverted or removed.

  • If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor then please discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant notice boards.
  • If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, please seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive, until the dispute is resolved through consensus. Continuing to edit disruptively could result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Random86 (talk) 04:49, 12 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I did not make UNCONSTRUCTIVE edits on Sistar's page. In case you didn't know, Sistar will be releasing their new mini album "Who Am I" and title track "Shake It" on this June 22. Hence, I added the information to Sistar page. MindyChua (talk) 04:53, 12 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
It is unconstructive because a new section with no content is against Wikipedia guidelines, and you did it again after being reverted. Random86 (talk) 04:58, 12 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Sistar Shake It.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Why do I have to take down this? MindyChua (talk) 10:41, 16 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

You uploaded two files that were the same, so one was deleted. Random86 (talk) 22:51, 16 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use File:Hyorin performing.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Hyorin performing.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 21:39, 7 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:Sistar award.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Sistar award.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited List of awards and nominations received by Sistar, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Shake It. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
