Disambiguation link notification for July 23
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited La Biblia (Vox Dei album), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Jorge Alvarez (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

External links
[edit]Could you please stop changing the order of external links in the articles? Official links should stay at top. I have to modify this all the time because of your edits. Xexerss (talk) 18:19, 13 August 2024 (UTC)
- Hi,
- I think you'll find that I have only changed the following, because many users have failed to correctly follow the official Wikipedia guidelines:
- 1. I quote from the official guidelines,
- (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:External_links),
- "Non-English-language content
- Outside of citations, external links to English-language content are strongly preferred in the English-language Wikipedia."
- The links therefore to the official Japanese sites which can only be read by people who read Japanese compared to links to English sites in the English Wikipedia is therefore incorrect. This is not the Japanese Wikipedia. Therefore, I believe you are in fact wrong and changing them back is wrong. It's English first, foreign language second, regardless whether the foreign language link leads to the official foreign language page.
- 2. As to any other changes, I believe I have only re-ordered the external lists according to the article. For example, if the article is for the Manga and states, "This article is about the manga and anime" then I have only re-ordered the existing links to place all those dealing with the manga first, and then placed the anime links second, so that they logically follow the order of the article. The manga is the source material, and the anime is based on it.
- If you wish to dispute this can you point me to the appropriate Wikipedia guidelines that state otherwise.
- If you now understand and accept the official guidelines that I have pointed out, would you please go back and undo the "corrections" which I believe you have made in error.
- I look forward to your further correspondence on this matter.
- Cheers
- Ralph Mimaroba (talk) 15:45, 14 August 2024 (UTC)
