Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Kbetlogo.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Kbetlogo.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it may be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 06:21, 26 February 2008 (UTC)

Note: I will not hesitate to revert vandalism to this or my user page. I will also promptly contact the ISP of the IP for repeat violations and file a report of IP abuse. If vandalism still continues I will file a police report with the ISP and they'll come and kick your ass. The simple solution to this is to not vandalize my pages in the first place, or you WILL face the consequences. Now, get back to editing constructively. WP:AIV report and IPs
Hello there! Just wanted to say, great job on the encyclopedia, and good job reporting to AIV! Just wanted to drop you a note. Most of the time, IP addresses are dynamic, and may switch physical connections from time to time, sometimes even as often as every time a certain router reconnects. Static addresses may also change hands frequently; for example, a library's IP address is likely to be used by hundreds of people daily. This is why you should run through the full range of warnings with an IP if it has had a gap in vandalism; most of the time, just the user of the IP is the vandal. I wanted to clear this up for future reference. Hope it helps! Cheers, Master of Puppets Call me MoP!☺ 23:12, 10 February 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for helping out
Thanks for your recent attention to Family Guy articles. These get lots of trivial vandalism which gets reverted easily, but we always need editors who can spot sneaky vandals adding known inaccuracies.
I notice you are interested in Radio. I'm doing some work with Radio Volta (a limping-along webcast) and WPEB (newly revived as a community radio station), which are both fostered by the Prometheus Radio Project. Do you have any knowledge of Icecast streaming and (especially) radio automation software? My last experience with real radio was in college in the 80s (before compact disc!), and I have no idea what technologies are in place now. Radio Volta is an entirely Linux shop, and WPEB is still in the early planning stages. / edg ☺ ☭ 15:52, 10 December 2007 (UTC)
- Unfortunately thats one aspect of radio that I have no idea about, the online streaming part. I have helped create the small low power radio station DXFM 101.9, and we attempted to add online streaming, but I lack both the technical skills and the funds to put the station online. Icecast, to my knowledge, is a server that allows streaming of audio, and I believe its used by a lot of stations similar to yours, and in particular, college stations. There is also shoutcast, which uses Winamp but those are the only two I know of. I wish I could help you more, but like I said, I don't really know too much about it. Good luck, and thanks for the compliment.
- Various applications generate Shoutcast streams; we have a dedicated Darkice server coming off our mixing board, but it doesn't do what I tell it. If low-power stations are an interest of yours, you might be interested in Prometheus, which does barnraising in (typically) poor and underrepresented communities. I was invited to help set up KPCN-LP in Oregon, but I had too much instability at home to travel. Very excited there's a new project in my home town.
- If you're interested, WikiProject Family Guy could use a few sensible editors. I have a boilerplate invite around here somewhere, but you'd learn more reading the Project page. / edg ☺ ☭ 23:04, 10 December 2007 (UTC)<<< My bad deleting this, got a bit too over zealous I guess. There isn't sufficient vandalism on Talk:Family Guy to merit protection. The rule with trolls is to quietly revert them. Any other reaction just rewards them and wastes your energy (which of course trolls are happy to have happen). / edg ☺ ☭ 18:53, 21 January 2008 (UTC)
- All I know is that this dynamic IP troll is starting to piss me off. Something needs to be done about this fool. I suggest blocking the IP range of the 70.81.--- range. This seems to be primarily where this BS is coming from. Milonica (talk) 07:48, 22 January 2008 (UTC)
- I've archived most of Talk:Family Guy, but frankly the reactions from some editors are rewarding trolls. For example(s), their having caused a Talk page conversations to be removed is probably quite gratifying, as are the repeated expressions of frustration on that Talk page. My suggestion is simply to not be disrupted. / edg ☺ ☭ 14:23, 22 January 2008 (UTC)
Page protection
Request it here. / edg ☺ ☭ 21:06, 22 January 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks a lot for requesting page protection for me. Do I have to do anything else? I already filled out an IP abuse report here. This has got to stop. Milonica (talk) 21:32, 22 January 2008 (UTC)
- This user is blocked, but it looks like range blocks are not going to happen. This user will come back with another address. Report to WP:AIV, and either revert without comment or have someone else do it. / edg ☺ ☭ 00:11, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
Re: Thank you
No problem! I think an abuse reports case is over the top - usually they're reserved for the most persistent vandals or abused addresses/ranges, or when there's real-life concerns. I see it's already been rejected though, so my message isn't as useful. :I east.718 at 19:45, January 23, 2008
This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of KYFO-FM, and it appears to be very similar to another wikipedia page: KYFO. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case.
This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 20:59, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
Radio station articles
Please review the naming conventions at WP:WPRS before creating any additional radio station articles. I have gone through and corrected a handful of those you have created over the last month or so. Unfortunately, numerous links throughout Wikipedia (including in market templates) are improperly formatted, and may lead to these articles being created at the wrong locations. Thanks! JPG-GR (talk) 03:37, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
- I am aware of this problem. I do use whatever the link on the state or template says as the link to the new article, I don't create them out of the blue. I will be sure to check WP:WPRS. From what it sounds like, a large amount of templates and/or state lists need to be updated to display the proper station call sign, which is a project I do not have enough time to commit to.Milonica (talk) 03:46, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
- Fortunately, all 50 of the state lists (i.e. List of radio stations in Vermont) DO use the proper links. Use those, and you can't go wrong. JPG-GR (talk) 03:47, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
- So its only the templates that have incorrect call signs. Thanks for the info! Also, thanks for modifying my articles. I am definitely not as tech or Wikipedia-savvy as some users on this site, thats for sure. Milonica (talk) 03:49, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
Hiya Milonica. While it is not a policy I personally agree with, our user talk page guidelines allow users to remove things from their own talk pages if they so choose, hence why I reverted you on his talk page. Dreaded Walrus t c 01:36, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
- I understand that, but there was an issue "Speedy deletion of Politics of Florida" that was current as of today that appears to be unsolved (to my knowledge). After reading the guidelines, which state that deleting an issue indicates that the user has read this item, I agree with your revision, however that doesn't change this user's somewhat seedy record of edits on Wikipedia. It just looked suspicious to me. Prior to your revision, I was unaware of the policy you stated, and therefore reverted his page. Thanks for filling me in on the policy. Milonica (talk) 01:44, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
- No probs. Upon reading it back, apologies if I came across as aggressive. I actually have a slight history with that user myself, see WP:AN/I#User:Lilgunner94 Reverting talk page. for a summary. :) Dreaded Walrus t c 01:50, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
Image copyright problem with Image:MansfaceEAST.jpg
Thank you for uploading Image:MansfaceEAST.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 23:12, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

If Milo is Kaing, then who is Queen? Time for a flatch me thinks... I'm so sick of people who vandalize Wikipedia with worthless information, and/or complete bashing of said article because they do not enjoy or like what said article describes. Fair use rationale for Image:KZWB.gif
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:KZWB.gif. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Orphaned non-free media (Image:KZWBsmall.gif)
Thanks for uploading Image:KZWBsmall.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. License tagging for Image:Caspermountain.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Caspermountain.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
* Wikipedia:Image use policy * Wikipedia:Image copyright tags
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 23:05, 6 August 2006 (UTC)
