Welcome!

Hello, Milly1977, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as ForceSelect, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines, and may soon be deleted.

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on this page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Questions or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! --ZhongHan (Email) 12:20, 8 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on ForceSelect requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. --ZhongHan (Email) 12:20, 8 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

ForceSelect

[edit]

(copied from the talk page there) Sorry, but that's not a reason for the article to be here. It needs to be referenced from outside, reliable sources WP:RS and notability needs to be shown WP:GNG. Wikipedia is an encyclopaedia, not a place for promotion (although I will say that the article appears to comply with WP:NPOV so far as I am concerned). Peridon (talk) 12:41, 8 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Can you please delete it then and I will try under organisation, which is where it should be - sorry, first time using this! ;-)

Posts should be signed with ~~~~ but don't worry about it for now. Good luck when you try again - next time keep it in your user space and ask for advice before launching it. Wikipedia looks so simple from the outside - but I sometimes wonder if anyone has read every policy. I'm always willing to try to help, and you'll find most of the regular editors are too. (It's when newcomers tell us how basic things work (or how they think they should work...) that we can get a bit nowty.) It looks like a probably notable organisation - just needs sourcing to prove it. Peridon (talk) 12:57, 8 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. :) The page will be deleted shortly, as I've already tagged it for speedy deletion. DARTH SIDIOUS 2 (Contact) 12:49, 8 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Shoudn't take very long, a few minutes maybe. It depends on Wikipedia administrators, how quickly they notice the speedy tag and comes to delete it. DARTH SIDIOUS 2 (Contact) 12:53, 8 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Not anymore. ;) DARTH SIDIOUS 2 (Contact) 19:12, 8 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Well, I think Manual of Style might be very helpful for you on this one. :) DARTH SIDIOUS 2 (Contact) 09:59, 9 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Oh yes, and this one too if you need help with proper sourcing and adding references correctly. DARTH SIDIOUS 2 (Contact) 10:01, 9 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
What link? You mean where to start the page? Well, start it mostly like you did previously, with the same name of course and so. DARTH SIDIOUS 2 (Contact) 10:28, 9 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Maybe it's just okay, but I'm perhaps not the right person to review articles for creation... let's see what the others think. DARTH SIDIOUS 2 (Contact) 10:49, 9 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
It seems that it isn't in the right place. Place it like this Wikipedia:Articles for creation/article name, that one was under Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation. :-) DARTH SIDIOUS 2 (Contact) 20:42, 9 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you must sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 12:54, 8 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
