Hi. I see you've been here for a while (at least on occasion), but no one seems to have extended you an official Wikipedia welcome yet. Let me belatedly do so now: Welcome!

Hello, Milkchaser, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! Discretionary sanctions alert

[edit]

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in post-1932 politics of the United States and closely related people. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Registration date vs. first edits

[edit]

Hi, Milkchaser. On your user page, you alluded to some discrepancy between your actual registration date in 2009, vs. your "supposed" registration of 2013, given that you have edits in your revision history dating to 2009. I don't know what it was you were seeing that led you to believe there was a discrepancy, but I don't see it. You are listed as having registered on 23 September, at 6:37 pm UTC. Your first edit was four minutes later, at the Orson Bean article. Hope this helps, Mathglot (talk) 23:07, 26 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, @milkchaser, I've replied to your comment at this article's talk page. I agree with you and not with the follow-on comments. All the best, Emmentalist (talk) 16:32, 17 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contribution(s). However, as a general rule, while user talk pages permit a small degree of generalisation, other talk pages such as Talk:VDARE are strictly for discussing improvements to their associated main pages, and many of them have special instructions on the top. They are not a general discussion forum about the article's topic or any other topic. If you have questions or ideas and are not sure where to post them, consider asking at the Teahouse. Thanks.
