Alaska map.

Hi! I didn't mean to sound so brash, but I'd just like to inform you that the US Map conventions are really just the floor, a bare minimum. It's not a standard that is strictly followed. Nor is it a celling. If someone wants, as I said, to spend the time and effort creating a beautiful map like those made by user:twotwofourtysix, they can upload those as the 'official' map for that page. I added the simplified map because every other US election map follows a specific format, and it's useful to be able to flip through multiple years of Alaska election results for a quick visual comparison. I did not delete the existing map and I didn't even make the conventional map the default setting. What is the problem with adding another option -- unless that itself is a convention?
