There is currently a debate going on about the List of Scottish football transfers 2011–12 on the Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Football page concerning what flagicon layout is best as you created the List of Major League Soccer transfers 2011 your vote would be greatly appreciated although I respect your decision if you decided to refrain from voting.(DUCKISJAMMMY (talk) 20:56, 2 July 2011 (UTC))

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Anton Sealey requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. ItsZippy (talk) 22:05, 28 July 2011 (UTC)

The article Kevin Rivers (baseball) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not notable, fails WP:GNG and WP:BASE/N

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. – Muboshgu (talk) 14:51, 19 August 2011 (UTC)

Interpreting profiles

Hi there, please be careful when reading profiles + player databases - with this edit, you managed to get both the height and appearances incorrect! Cheers, GiantSnowman 23:41, 16 September 2011 (UTC)

Haha, no problems! Soccerway is correct when it says '14' - but that refers to minutes played, not matches played. GiantSnowman 15:16, 18 September 2011 (UTC)
Hmm, no idea why that is, I haven't actually been involved in any code changes - maybe have an ask over at Template talk:Infobox football biography‎#Entry for college career? GiantSnowman 21:16, 19 September 2011 (UTC)

Deletion discussion about Jarrett Grube

Hello, Mikemor92, and thanks for contributing to Wikipedia!

I wanted to let you know that some editors are discussing at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Jarrett Grube whether the article Jarrett Grube should be in Wikipedia. I encourage you to comment there if you think the article should be kept in the encyclopedia.

The deletion discussion doesn't mean you did something wrong. In fact, other editors may have useful suggestions on how you can continue editing and improving Jarrett Grube, which I encourage you to do. If you have any questions, feel free to ask at the Help Desk.

Thanks again for your contributions! – Muboshgu (talk) 15:45, 29 November 2011 (UTC)

Hi. In North American Soccer League, you recently added a link to the disambiguation page Fort Lauderdale Strikers (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi Mike. The message has to do with adding a link to the "Did you mean..." page Fort Lauderdale Strikers here, in the part that says "(since renamed [[Fort Lauderdale Strikers]])". Sorry about the confusion. --JaGatalk 20:20, 15 December 2011 (UTC)

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Ryan Jones (footballer born 1992), and it appears to be a substantial copy of https://twitter.com/.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. Hi. When you recently edited Erasmo Ramírez (right-handed pitcher), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Southern League (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Hey Mike. Back in November, you got either an AfD or PROD notification, and it was during one of the template testing project's experiments. If you could go here and leave us some feedback about what you think about the new versions of the templates we tested (there are links to the templates), that would be very useful. Invitation to wikiFeed

Hello Mikemor92,

I'm part of a team that is researching ways to help Wikipedia editors find interesting content to contribute to Wikipedia. More specifically, we are investigating whether content from news sources can be used to enhance Wikipedia editing. We have created a tool, called wikiFeed, that allows you to specify Twitter and/or RSS feeds from news sources that are interesting to you. wikiFeed then helps you make connections between those feeds and Wikipedia articles. We believe that using this tool may be a lot of fun, and may help you come up with some ideas on how to contribute to Wikipedia in ways that interest you. Please participate! To do so, complete this survey and follow this link to our website. Once you're there, click the "create an account" link to get started.

For more information about wikiFeed, visit our project page. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask via my talk page, or by email at wikifeedcc@gmail.com. We appreciate your time and hope you enjoy playing with wikiFeed!

Wondered whether that was the case. The FIFA page only counts matches played in FIFA competitions: i.e. no friendly internationals and no confederation-organised competitions, unless they double as qualifiers for FIFA comps such as the World Cup. Mr Wood's profile at the NZ Football Federation gives him 5 under-23 matches. I'll change it. cheers, Struway2 (talk) 07:26, 26 August 2012 (UTC)
