Hi. I suspect you've put Немецкий крестовый монах (голубь) on the wrong Wiki. This is the English WP and that looks a lot like Russian. Regards, Tonywalton | Talk 13:01, 22 May 2006 (UTC)
- I see you're translating it now. It might be good if you noted that here as the article has been listed as needing translation. It's also a good idea to make a note on an article's talk page to say translation is underway. Another point, nothing to do with this article - it's conventional to sign your posts on talk pages (though not on the articles themselves. If you have any questions, give me a shout and I'll try to answer them! Regards Tonywalton | Talk 13:30, 22 May 2006 (UTC)
- I don't know how long it takes until someone has enough edits to allow them to move a page - I guess it's to stop page move vandals like the dreaded Willy on Wheels. The good news, however, is that I've been aroud long enough to be able to move pages. Just let me know the new title and I'll do it for you. Tonywalton | Talk 13:45, 22 May 2006 (UTC)
Hi Mikelina, I just did some minor editing of your translation, mostly typos, but also a couple of rephrasings (I thought the sentence with breed ... bred by ... breeders was styllistically awkward). But well done in general! I just did a small translation myself (keeping in practice with Russian), and I have a question that maybe you could answer: what's a good English translation for народный артист СССР? I had the feeling that e.g. national artist of the USSR doesn't really communicate the significance of the title, but then I realized that I'm not really sure what the significance of the title is.
