Please do not post copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder, as you did to Carl Filipiak. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you. "Permission" is not really sufficient, as material posted here must be released under the GNU Free Documentation License. The website you copied from has posted a copyright notice, which directly conflicts with such a release. If he wishes to release the text, he needs to change the notice on the website. See WP:C for more info. NickelShoe (Talk) 18:40, 8 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The article Carl Filipiak has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Jazz guitarist Carl Filipiak is mentioned in some lists but does not meet Wikipedia:Notability (music). No charting song or album, no non-trivial coverage dedicated to him in national publications, no major award, etc.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
