I made at least 10 edits on the sandbox but it appears I still can't edit the pages with a grey padlock on, I thought that is enough. Mike Matthews17 (talk) 11:19, 21 November 2019 (UTC)
Hi @Mike Matthews17: - For an account to become WP:AUTOCONFIRMED, the user has to be at least four days old, and has to have made at least ten edits. However, "gaming" the system (that is, making ten token sandbox/userspace edits) in order to edit a specific semi-protected article is likely to be frowned upon.
