Hello, I'm FourViolas. An edit you recently made to Katie Findlay seemed to be a test and has been removed. If you want more practice editing, the sandbox is the best place to do so. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. FourViolas (talk) 20:07, 24 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry if my editing was disturbing, but I was trying to add this show I saw her guest star in and it wasn't listed on the television, I'm also new at this, so I couldn't find out where to put it. I left to got to the bathroom, with my laptop still open and my 14 year old sister got a hold of it. I'm sorry I toke all the things she edited off there a few minutes after.

Sincerly,
Mikayla ♥ — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mikayla xoxo (talkcontribs) 20:14, 24 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, Mikayla! First of all, welcome to WIkipedia! We're glad to have you on board.
About your edit, no harm done. It takes a while to get used to editing, and it's easy to fix any mistakes. I would recommend you keep an eye on your computer while you're editing with other people around.
The proper way to add a show to her filmography is:
  • Go to the Katie Findlay#Filmography section and click "edit section"
  • Scroll down to the bottom, until you see "How to Get Away with Murder"
  • After the "main cast" line at the very bottom, insert this:

|-
| [year the show aired]
| ''[[name of show (TV Series)|name of show]]''
| [Ms. Findlay's role]
| [any special notes, such as "Guest star"]

  • As an edit summary, write something like "Added her role as [role] on [show]"
  • Click "Show preview" and see if it looks the way you want it to
  • Click "Save page" if it does—otherwise, try to figure out what's wrong.
  • If the name of the TV show is red instead of blue, search for its Wikipedia entry in a different window and replace "name of show (TV Series)" with the title of that page. The words behind the "|" are the page you go to, the words after are the ones that display: for example, [[User talk:FourViolas|talk]] looks like "talk"
