RE: Don't smack me...

[edit]

... I know what I'm talking about. Garrison Keillor grew up AMONG Lutherans, but was never himself a Lutheran; he is on record as having grown up Sanctified Brethren. Check your research, and please don't threaten me. Deleting my correction without checking your resources was sloppy and snotty, and I don't appreciate it. My edit was absolutely valid.Midwestern Girl (talk) 03:14, 3 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Carefully read WP:V, WP:RS, WP:CITE, and WP:NOR before you jump on your high horse. "The threshold for inclusion in Wikipedia is verification, not truth". It doesn't matter what you "know" if it is not reliably sourced. I could claim that I "know" the moon is made of cheese, but I can't add that to Moon unless I have a reliable source. To make matters worse, you removed a reliable source and replaced it with unsourced information, which is vandalism. It's one thing to make an honest mistake, have it corrected, and then learn from your mistake. It's quite another to vandalize and then criticize the editor who corrects your vandalism. So please start reading the policies I linked, find a reliable source, and then add you edit. Thank you. Ward3001 (talk) 03:22, 3 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
