Wikipedia page for Michael Reich

[edit]

January 17, 2015

I have just discovered that someone named Michael Saltsman has entered incorrect and offensive information on my Wikipedia page. Saltsman is a well-known virulent opponent of minimum wage increases who works for the National Restaurant Association's Employment Policies Institute. He often trades in character slander as he is not competent to judge professional economic research.

I am a labor economist at the University of California, Berkeley, with many published research articles on minimum wage effects.

I would like to remove the information that is incorrect and/or offensive. I tried to do so but the changes were reversed.

Please tell me how to make these changes.

Information icon Please do not write or add to an article about yourself, as you apparently did at Michael Reich . Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to an existing article about yourself, please propose the changes on its talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was my page deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Thank you. --Orange Mike | Talk 20:54, 17 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Your role in founding the URPE is public record; one to be proud of, in my opinion. If you have suggestions to improve the article, offer them; do not simply remove vast swaths of information. --Orange Mike | Talk 21:01, 17 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
