Hello, I note that you are editing the R. Joseph Hoffmann article. The material that you added about positive views of his work is useful, and the better referenced the better. But taking out referenced factually-accurate material is dodgy, and makes your edits look like promotional stuff. There is a suggestion that you are in fact Hoffmann or one of his associates. if so, please be aware that you would do better to make this clear on your user page. And don't be afraid to explain your edits on the talk page; it prevents unnecessary reversion. Roger Pearse 10:08, 10 October 2008 (UTC)
Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia. While objective prose about products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Thank you.
Hello, I see that you are editing the R.J.Hoffmann page. As far as I know Hoffmann's Celsus only received two academic reviews -- that is what l'annee philologue says -- and his Porphyry only received one. You deleted this saying this is untrue; but why? In what respect? If you know of further academic reviews, I'd be most interested to hear of them. But please, don't just delete factual, referenced information from Wikipedia without any explanation.Roger Pearse 09:24, 13 October 2008 (UTC)
