"Categories can only use alphabetical order"

This isn't quite true. Category entries can have sort keys. Probably the most common use is to file biographical articles by surname. I can't at the moment think of another way it's put to practical use on WP, but check out this category (among others) on the Countdown wiki. Of course, there is still a limitation in that the category page will group entries only under single-character headings. I guess the reason Category:Months has them listed alphabetically is that nobody has agreed on a better way of listing them that would fit in with there being multiple calendars to consider. — Smjg (talk) 12:35, 27 May 2011 (UTC)
