Link to your thesis?
[edit]If there is a generally accessible online version of your thesis on the Whitby, Redcar and Middlesbrough Union Railway, could you please provide a link to it in the article? Also, it may not be necessary to list all your publications regarding the line, and also not in all articles touching upon the subject. Just keep the most relevant ones. --Schlosser67 (talk) 08:18, 12 June 2017 (UTC)
Your Oakwood Press book
[edit]Hi, regarding your book
- Williams, Michael Aufrère (2019) [2012]. The Whitby - Loftus Line. Locomotion Papers. Catrine: Oakwood Press. p. 168. ISBN 978-0-85361-542-2. LP244.
Near the bottom of page 168, four lines up, you have written a permanent way [spel?] with the material
. I assume that the square brackets and question mark indicate that you were unable to read the original, which is possibly a handwritten document; I don't have that doc, but I believe that it should read a permanent way spcl with the material
- here, the word "spcl" is a contraction of the word "special", which fits the context - a special is any train not appearing in the normal timetables. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 11:28, 23 February 2023 (UTC)
Also, on page 171, you have written in which warren [?] girders
- this refers to a form of girder that is also known as a Warren truss. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 23:27, 25 February 2023 (UTC)
